Indeed. One of them could have been dead for hours before the other one. Until law enforcement tells us many scenarios are possible.

(Flashbacks of analyzing the Watts case)

So technically this guy has “annihilated” a family, just not his own family.

FWIW, its possible since they say they have the cell phone the 911 call was made from, and who likely made the call, that the phone is Jayme's and they might not want to alert someone who took her to the fact she may have secretly called for help, for fear of angering them and them taking it out on her in some way. IF it was her (And who knows at this point), she might have done it secretly and hid the phone or placed it out of sight so she wouldn't be caught making the call (Hence why no talking). Just throwing that out there as a potential reason why they wouldn't release that information.
:) Welcome to Websleuths, SevenSis! :)

the TOD for sure makes a difference, Jayme had to have been in a situation she couldn't speak when 911 called(secretly). Abducted at gunpoint, being hidden nearby and an escape happened. So horrible. She wasn't on her own to make an escape that's for sure. I don't have high hopes here..... especially if the perp is tracking that her phone or her presence has been reported by LE to the public, may have put her in harm's way even more:(

And now for a positive comment about the media. My local late night news just featured Jayme's disappearance and played part of the press conference from today and showed clips from her family and friends speaking about how scared they are for Jayme. They reminded us that Jayme's grandparents are grieving the loss of Jayme's parents and they still don't know where Jayme is.

And I live a good 1200 miles or so from Barron, WI. I'm glad to see the media getting the word out nationwide.

“They reminded us that Jayme's grandparents are grieving the loss of Jayme's parents and they still son’ know where Jayme is.“

This is awful for her grandparents. Beyond awful. Like the worst.

Dear Moonracer,

I posted earlier what a great point you've made. However I didn't attach my post to yours.

Your idea of "LE examining people driving INTO the area in the hour right before the attacks" is brilliant.

LE may still be working on this. I have no idea just how busy that highway is.

I haven't looked for a map of the area yet and where the closest cams are, especially gas stations, etc.

And the local casino?

Casinos in Wisconsin | Hotels in Wisconsin | St Croix Casinos

Turtle Lake is just west of Barron on Highway 8... lots of cameras there? Facing Highway 8 as vehicles pass in either direction? The casino is very close physically to the highway.

MOO

Personally I have no problem with LE requesting DNA samples. But it is a time-consuming affair, expensive, and the perp won't show. Perp could even be a minor. I doubt it will happen and a request is not a demand. Plenty would refuse, causing more work and delays. They need to find this young girl, and also she is their best clue, imo.

It worked with the Gaeta case and Jessica Ridgway

Please share what evidence suggests that Jayme called 911. Thank you.

Another long-time reader compelled to register and comment!

I'm really focused on the 4 minute response time. We know:
  • the call lasted just under 1 minute
  • there was some kind of altercation underway during the time of the call ("yelling")
  • the house was empty and both parents dead when police arrived, 4 minutes later
So if a dying parent made the call, it means they died in the 5 minutes between hitting the call button and police arriving. Not impossible but long odds so it makes me think it was more likely that Jayme was the caller. If Jayme was the caller then we can probably presume the parents were already dead or injured (heart breaking) so that means Jayme must have been an active participant in the altercation heard during the call. So somehow we go from her making a call, to participating in an altercation with yelling, to being gone without a trace in under 5 minutes. It's just a remarkable series of events to occur in such a short span of time and in a relatively rural environment late at nigh. I can't get my mind around it.

Dear liltexans,

You are wonderful to share this positive news.

I agree that the more Jayme's face and her situation is in the public discourse, the greater the chance that someone will call in a tip.

Hoping and praying that tomorrow morning there will be a break in this case and Jayme will be found safe and sound. I know I'm not alone feeling this way.

Wait clue me in, what about Jessica’s case as related to this case? I can see some similarities...

It's possible that the yelling in the background which was heard on the 911 call was moaning from a dying parent.

I think it's pretty clear the poster is posting his or her opinion, like everyone else on this thread. LE has not stated who called 911. Thus, people are speculating and offering their theories.

Dear Oller,

Thank you! I didn't know about the casino and the cameras facing highway 8. This could lead to the break the investigation team needs.

Who made the 911 call " I cant comment on that as its part of the investigation"
Lets recap
We know someone dialed 911 inside the house, no neighbors called 911
If it was either of Jayme's parents how does that impact the investigation (they are dead)
If it was Jayme still doesn't impact the investigation (we know she was there)
Unlikely the suspect/s who just murder 2 people called but anything possible i guess.
The mind boggles on the mindset of police and there (lack of) sharing of simple information.

Welcome disturbed. :) Well said.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Do all the homes there have basements? Here in Florida 99% don't.
Most homes in the Midwest have basements. Once you hit KY and lower, they become a bit more rare (at least in terms of full basements, which is what we have up here).

hey all. first time poster, long time lurker. This case is stressing me out enough to go ahead and register.

zero problem with asking media to stay away from the meeting. town must be terrified. I would be. That said, someone else made a point. There is likely something to be said about how the info gets out of that meeting. I bet there is some strategy involved there.

For the life of me, I cant figure out how not telling us whose phone is being used gets us closer to finding this poor girl. If she was likely deceased, and we are now purely on a manhunt, i guess I defer to the police to do whatever is needed to find the perpetrators. But priority #1 must be finding that poor little girl. If its someone else's phone, tell us.

But what if it was the perps phone that was used? Releasing who that is could get her killed. Granted, perp would know that she used his/her phone and would know police know...but maybe making it known publicly would endanger Jayme. We don’t know what other information they have that makes them believe it would hurt rather than help anything.
