The thing that strikes me most from the .pdf transcript is that LE states they don't know enough about the suspect to issue an Amber Alert, yet hours later they issue an Amber Alert. Wouldn't this mean that at a minimum they got a better description?

JMO.
Amber alert was totally media! None of the requirements were met. Law enforcement made this happen because of public outcry!

i'm still extremely confused why the call was initially booked as possible suicidal person. if all that could be heard was indistinct yelling, wouldn't you think more likely a possible domestic issue/disturbance? if all that can be made out is a commotion and 'help' how in the world does that go to suicide? i could see possible murder/suicide but how just suicide on its own? maybe i'm just not familiar with 911 calls and suicides but that just does not make any sense to me at all.

No experience with this - how are calls categorized when they come into Dispatch?? Does anyone have experience with this?

IIRC, the change which allowed the Amber Alert was FBI involvement, not additional info. moo

ETA: If it were additional info it would have been included in the alert.

So we know who the Closs's are and who JLC is (Jayme). <modsnip - names> are mentioned as being asked to bugger off after driving by too many times (I assume they are curious teens out joyriding, <modsnip>'s name left out because she's a minor). <modsnip - names> must be Denise's brother mentioned later in the report. That leaves <modsnip - names>. The report says the dog was left at a family residence on 17th Street, which is <modsnip - names>'s address, so she must be the family who took the dog.

Again, this log shows at 1:05/1:06 that man down was man that answered door to officers and at 1:19 both men down were unresponsive. So father could have also made the 911 call. Am I reading the log right?

No. Bc earlier reports note officers saw door open and man deceased in doorway as they approached the home.

No I assume they verified at that point that she was indeed missing and not with a friend or relative.

I believe the police reported they arrived 7 minutes from time of 911 call.. On a side note, it is a very small town. We are assuming that they called the casino for video. What if they new one of the family members were known to be there? I come from a family of CPS workers. So I know that families are not alway4 s how they appear. Which is why I like to wait for police reports.
This is a small town with no murders in the last few years. The highest they ever had were 4 murders in one year. It is a place I would feel safe. So if someone knocked on the door, I may open it. The fact that the door was kicked in means it was personal. They were mad. So there was beef with someone. You don't kick in a door to rob it. Especially, the front door. YOu come to the front door if you know the people inside.
This was not just a random crime. I do not believe she was a target. Then I get tripped up on the shots being heard at appx 1230. The neighbor had just went to bed. The call was at 1pm. So there was a half hour. That gap makes me think robbery but there is no report of things being stolen.
We need to hear from someone other than the family.
I hope the police are not as stumped as me.

On the dispatch call log it List SRN ( im assuming to be of relation to Denise) being that its her maiden name) wonder why he is listed there?
Could SRN be her brother Steven who called? Also mentioned on the log.

Wasn’t the dog taken to 17th Street.

Not verified. It's speculation

Oh my goodness.... Is that a homicide report with three suspects names on it ?...The male name is very victim familiar.

I didn't read these as suspects, but other people that they had contact with.

That's a lot of people to sniff! Somehow I don't think they will do that. Imo

I don't think they will, either. But I think they should. For Jayme.

I'm so happy that LivePD is covering this case. Per NCMEC rep on tonight's show, the 911 call was DC's phone. Confirmed.

From this link I took this screenshot...
(*sorry if this has been talked about already, I’m a little behind*)

If you see the last line that I highlighted... that seriously concerns me... anyone else??
Who are these people??

I think just nosy people who saw a lot of police activity

Yes! An online game! That’s a good idea!

Let’s go back to the the photo...can we tell what kind of phone she has?

What games are kids playing these days where they can chat? What games/apps are 13 year girls currently into?
Snapchat, Instagram, Live.Me, IM is still fairly popular on FB, and as far as games, Fortnite and Sims still seems to be popular.

If it were mistaken identity, why take Jayme? Sadly, I think she would have been found deceased at the home too.
If he/they did not come there specifically for Jayme, and I’m leaning this way more and more, he/they took her because she recognized him/them. She may not have made a good witness so leaving her behind without killing her wouldn’t have made the getaway any less complicated. Jmo.

I'm a dispatcher. Its categorized by what it is or what we are told it is, then changed when we have information to change it. So you can see it says 911 hang up. Thats how it started. When the officer said "apparent/possible suicide" it was changed. When they determined homicide, it was changed again. call types can change multiple times throughout a call.

Stormyann,
Please consider becoming a verified insider. It sounds like you could be very helpful to the case. We would love to have you.

Stormyann has said she lives in Boston. Why do some of you think she's an insider in the Closs case? What am I missing? :)

Yes this is what I recall. FBI allowed it.
