Did Kayla have a cell phone with her and who has the records? Where did it last ping? That might be a good indication of where she ended up...

I was just speaking with Kayla's aunt on the phone. I walked her though the steps to get to this forum. She stated Kayla did not have a cell phone. She also had me google Kaylas name, a bunch of pictures come up including a sketch of her by some Horacio Prada. Could you guys take a look at this? Why in the world would this guy be selling pictures of Kayla? I don't know how to link sites but if one of you could find it and link I could be eternally grateful.

I contacted Mr. Prada requesting information on how he obtained the images-Kayla's Aunt should contact the detective in charge of her case ASAP. It may be that he lifted the image from her missing persons poster-but it is a lead that needs to be pursued!!!

He states on the sketch that is also on the website that he copied her MISSING PERSON poster. If that is the case, it is EGREGIOUS. IMO. I hope he does the right thing when contacted by LE. A Minor child. She is a MINOR, Mr. Prada.

I received a lovely note from Mr. Prada-he has volunteered to take down Kayla's sketch and oil for fear he has caused the family grief. He indicated to me that it was not the product of a meeting with her and that he has no knowledge of the case. Momwhocares-at the bottom of my post you will see a hyperlink to my email addy. Click on it and send me an email-I will then forward you HIS email to give to family or investigators. I think the event has to be properly closed by detectives and I do not know who is working the case. This is JMO.

I called the detectives and sent them a copy of my correspondence with Mr. Prada. Let Kayla's Aunt know we are all set with this issue. They were very nice!

The CNN aricle quoted Kayla's mother as saying that they moved to Texas because "they were going to start a new life". Do we know the reason for that?

I can't say for sure why they moved to Texas. Kayla's parents are not together, perhaps that has something to do with it. Hoping for clarification from a family member soon.

I would still love to know if there is any independent verification that KK arrived home at midnight after "dropping Kayla off." Because then we have a fixed period of time to deal with....

LLLindsayy, I started one a long time ago in the support forum and it never took off and I just didn't have much to input to a discussion forum till lately. My thanks again to this thread starter. And thanks to all of you for helping.

It would be so good to see more publicity on this case. This young woman needs to be found. I just fear that it has a sad ending but hopefully she is still alive and out there. The publicity could scare her home if that is the case.

Questions I have,

Was KK drug tested for other types of drug use?

If KK was dropping Kayla off at the residence to meet her boyfriend, was the boyfriend there? Was KK jealous she was leaving him for her boyfriend? Could it have caused a fight? Was there sexual tension between KK and Kayla? A good question for friends who saw them that night.

What was her boyfriends alibi? Could he have gotten jealous she was riding around with KK? Could he have really been the last person to see Kayla?

Could it have been a date rape gone even worse by one of the people she was with or saw that night?
