Jenna didn't die. Reena did. I'll edit after you do. :/
ON top of that, if your 3 yr old has just been returned to you, by a neighbor who lives a mile away, do you then leave your little wanderer outside by herself again? Wouldn't you bring her inside while you get the drink? It makes no sense, imo.

Sceptical yes. Who mentioned the car? And... have we still not been given the name of the father? I find that unusual.
You definitely want to watch the press conference here: http://kstp.com/news/stories/S2728731.shtml?cat=1
I noted a couple things.... they notified most of the family immediately and then notified the mother once she could be found (or located). That was weird.
A fisherman called 911 after they (family?) asked him if he had seen Reena. Wonder what made him call.
The comment about the car had something to do with a camper in the area with no camping gear.
Reporters asked if Reena had clothing on when she was found and the LE spokesman said he could not say. Not sure if he meant he didn't know or could not answer the question. He would not comment on the condition of her body.
He choked up a few times. So sad!

So...I'm wondering if after the neighbor returned Reena, did one of her parents completely lose it with her. Was Reena dead before she ever entered the water? kwim
The sheriff's office received the missing child report around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Renna allegedly wandered away from her home in search of a dog. The home is located on a 40-acre island in the middle of Yellow River.

What does that mean she wandered off ' in search of a dog?'
Her dog was missing? Did dad know the dog was missing?
I don't believe she was searching for the dog. Her Mom stated in an interview that Reena went where the dog went and the dog always went with Reena.
I don't think anyone is wanting to blame Mom or Dad. What got this started is reports that this child wandered off twice and was returned twice to her home on the day she went missing. Once she was a mile from her home. Apparently this was not the first time she was found by neighbors wandering around the area. I think people feel this is neglectful of parents. Once is an accident...three or four time is neglectful. Especially around so much water. 3 year old children do not understand their boundries. They need constant attention and apparently this little child was not watched very closely.
I am sure the Dad was thinking, "Oh-she's gone on a hike again. She will show up or someone will bring her home soon." I certainly feel for these people. I am not bashing them, just questioning their parenting skills I guess. The death of this poor child could have been prevented with a little more supervision. MOO
OMG stop blaming the mother until we get confirmation otherwise!!! PLEASE!!
