Found Safe WI - SMF, 16, Beaver Dam, 2 Feb 2025 *3 mo's pregnant, believed to be with 40-year-old father of the baby*

We know Day is dangerous and if/when found is looking at a very long prison term so my other big concern about SF's is her safety and that he doesn't do any more harm to her out of desperation.
The "if I can't have her no one else can" mind set.
Hopefully when found she gets extensive physiological help so when she turns 18 the thought of having GD in hers and her baby's life is non-existent.

I honestly cannot even fathom giving birth to a child conceived via rape and having to go throgh the sentence of pregnancy, childbirth and having a kid who is 50% the offender, including the looks... IMO, this seems like a sentence on the victim way beyond anything that can ever be done to the rapist via the legal system.

In her case, the grooming aspect of course makes it all the more complicated. Right now she might feel more "in love" than "used". That is if she is still alive. The "What Really Happened" will probably always be a bit messy for her and she certainly will re-interpret her story as she gets older and as she gets emotional and professional support.

I do hope she is located alive. So many years ahead of her. Pretty much a lifetime.

Has anything been reported about the amount of money they could be traveling with?
There are food banks that could be used and SF could have changed her appearance, like her hair color and if only she obtained food her identity could easily be concealed.
Sleep in the car, eat from food banks and that leaves gas money.

Even if camping in Arkansas, which is a lot warmer in the winter than Wisconsin they still need a tent and some camping gear.
Back to their finances and if they had a plan when they left Wisconsin.
It's been a week now so they could be in a warmer climate state.

Exactly my thoughts! Don't think he would go anywhere where authorities are looking. Not too difficult to find out what states to avoid, given media coverage. Lots of other states that you mentioned (Idaho, Arizona, Washington) where no one is looking. Very insightful thinking - including states he used to live in - he may even be familiar with places to hide out since there are so many remote areas in those states!

They've been gone for over a week now, could be in any US state aside from Alaska or Hawaii. Sadly, don't think he'll ever be caught unless there's a nationwide effort.
Thinking out loud….They have to be close to running out of money/food/gas etc. Are they staying with someone who decided to help them? Even if they found a remote camp/cabin, they wouldn’t be able to stay there forever. Day knows what he will face when they’re found and his life will be in prison. Maybe they dumped the car and could be hitchhiking, but to where? I don’t want to even say this, but wondering if they’re no longer alive. At 16, this running game would be getting old and Sophia could be sassy with Day because she wants to stay put in one place. I hope he hasn’t hurt her, but that can’t be ruled out.

"There is so much on the horizon for you, Sophie. Hard things, yes, but GOOD things too. And your family is here for all of it. We aren’t going anywhere - we just need you to come back.

Your value isn’t found in how much money you make, how hard you work, or even the affirmation of others. Sophie, you are a soul made by God and fully known by God and entirely loved by God. You are a gift to us.

For all our family and friends: THANK YOU. Please don’t stop sharing. Sophie needs to be home. Please let law enforcement know if you think of anything that might be significant in getting her back."
Amber Alert: Beaver Dam teen missing; family speaks out

I see nothing wrong in this statement and am glad the family have finally spoken. <modsnip - referenced posts removed>

IMO there is one bad guy we know about. His name is Gary Day and he is bad news. I don't feel a need to create a story in my head about her family, their church, in order to look for more bad guys. Unless or until I hear from authorities that her family is guilty of something, that will continue to be my stance and my opinion.

I hope today is the day SF is found.

Frankly this is the take we should all start with.
There is only one position we know for sure, and it's this one.

Not sure if this was posted but here's her MPIA poster: Have you seen Sophia Franklin?

Has it been reported what kind of work SF did in Arkansas?
She's obviously a financially capable enterprising young woman that even her family alluded to in their statement.

To take it further, IMO-- from July-Dec, the parents didn't appear to have any concerns about what their 16 year old daughter was doing or where she was living; did they inquire if she was safe or whether she had enough food to eat? They had no contact until they IMO found out she was in AR. I wonder at what point they found out that she was pregnant.

one correction, they spoke with her regularly by phone reportedly during her absence. One can assume this involved SF Continuing to keep up the pretext that she was staying at her friend's home in Beaver Dam.

Thanks for that.
I immediately thought of the pings off of cell-phone towers and hopefully her phone is turned on and even if she's not using it LE can track her whereabouts.
If that's possible.

We know now that they spoke but we don't know what about.
Curious though who SF's parents believed she was with and was that person also a minor ?
If so or not what about SF's parents being in contact with those adults before she left and throughout her supposed stay in Beaver Falls.
Something doesn't make sense to me unless SF had a person in BF who covered for her and was an adult the parents knew.

Maybe she told her parents she was staying with a friend and her parents never checked.

For 5/6 months noooooo! As the mother of a 16 yo daughter I wouldnt go 24 hours without checking in with mine. It’s a very tricky age teetering between child and adulthood.

Parents of missing Beaver Dam teen speak out as Amber Alert continues

Parents seem to believe in God by this statement. Wonder if SF was rebelling against religious parents at some point? GFD does not seem to follow religious morals/values. Could be very wrong. Just a thought. I hope she is still missing by what she thinks is choice and not other.

Please keep your eyes open, report anything that might be helpful, and pray for Sophie and our whole family. She could be anywhere, so family and friends all over the nation stay on alert, please!
We appreciate all the love that has been expressed to our family. We are thankful for each one of you. God has provided us a wonderful circle of family and friends, as well as an amazing team of law enforcement and investigators committed to bring Sophie back to us.
**Also, I would like to reassure everyone that Law enforcement is doing a fantastic job- everything is intentional and targeted. If you have information they need to know about, please direct it towards the authorities.**
