I wish Aliayah would be found. 3 year olds don't just vanish into thin air. Where on this earth are you Aliayah????
Isn't today the due date for LL's twins? Saturday will make six weeks since Aliayah's disappearance was reported and IIRC they said then that LL was six weeks or so from delivery.

Wow! She didn't just do this one time but 4 times! Twice after Aliayah went missing and twice before.
Plus the affidavit says she receives SNAP for herself and 5 children....what happened to hubby? She didn't report him as living there? Wouldn't that be welfare fraud?
Was just going to post, thanks Lynnb.
Six Counts levied against Lena. Interesting, the transactions are from September 9th to October 15th. I'll wager she was selling benefits prior to this period of time. Security video's must have been reviewed and another person was seen on camera using her card?
No matter what the value was she only collected $50 each time? I'm piqued by this, because the value of the items purchased, saves the buyer from spending his/her own cash. Why the deep discount? Why not $ for $?
So what were those poor kids eating while Mommy sold their benefits?
$50 per transaction.....sounds like a certain drug may cost $50 a pop? Wonder what drug goes for $50 down there. IMO.
Probably because the person buying her food stamps felt like they were doing her a favor -they didn't need the food, she needed the cash.
If he lived there and wasn't reported, that would most likely be fraud. But, you can live with someone but not have them on your benefits for several reasons. One, being that the other person is not eligible because of past convictions. Another is if the other person isn't family and doesn't prepare meals with the rest of the occupants in the house.
Since she wasn't charged with obtaining them via fraud in that complaint, I would guess that he probably isn't eligible because of a felony drug conviction or previous welfare fraud.

Because whatever she's buying with the money costs $50. Drugs would be my best guess. Wonder what costs $50? Pot? Pills? Meth? Crank? Crack? Heroin? It's all easily available around here.
50 cents on the dollar is the going rate for selling food stamps. It's a HUGE problem here.
