Lena Lunsford's public defender, Brian Kornbrath, didn't immediately return messages Tuesday.

Huh? What happened to the lawyer she supposedly hired? Wasn't it Tom Smith? Unless he was hired specifically for the CPS situation.
Please tell me Lena is not going to end up with a whole legal team at her disposal.:furious:

The search for a missing toddler continues but FBI agents have started searching in a new location.

New location? but nothing about that in the story.

The charges against the mother include conspiracy to defraud the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program and knowingly selling federal benefits.

Are these federal charges? (one can hope)

This one is a federal public defender. Then she had the lawyer that was handling her case against the jails. Then she had the one that was named when CPS removed her children. I know of one other lawyer but can't find confirmation in the media to post here.

That woman needs a team of lawyers for the trouble she keeps getting into!

Lunsford allegedly sold a SNAP balance, or federal food stamps, worth more than $100 to another person for $50 in cash. If convicted she could spend five years behind bars and owe a fine of up to $10,000.

UPDATE 10/27/11 @ 9:30 p.m.

LEWIS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The search for a missing toddler continues but FBI agents have started searching in a new location.
Investigators are now searching in the Vadis area of Lewis County for 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford.
The command was moved there after investigators say they received "valuable information."
No other details about why investigators are looking in the new location have been released.
Investigators say it is still a criminal investigation and they believe Aliayah is the victim of a homicide, abduction or a possible concealment. She has been missing for more than a month now.

I'm wondering why the news is reporting (do I need to find and link?) that Aliayah's mother is sitting on the front porch angry that her children were taken by CPS. Wouldn't it be prudent to use this time to go LOOK FOR ALIAYAH?

She is not looking, nor has EVER looked, because she KNOWS what happened to Aliayah.

They have contacted Marc Klass and John Walsh....have been told they cannot help them as the request must come from immediate family and/or LE
They will be at the press conference and will answer questions if the press would like to ask
