Wait, wouldn't he have been incarcerated when Aliayah was 8mo?

Conviction Date: 3/22/1990 served 17 1/2 yrs
so that means he was released sometime in 2007 right?

Aliayah was born in 2008 so step grandpa would have been released.

I don't think it's the RSO, but I'd be surprised if that was Sweet A, and not her momma or another relative. It seems like an old (dated background and quality) pic. (Not that I'm an expert)

I feel just a little better to see sweet A smile.

FYI-Someone said the FBI Mobil Command Post is back in Weston at the State Police barracks.

just went and checked. Lena's stepfather passed in 2010 so maybe that picture of grandpa is him and not the RSO.
It's too hard to compare pictures since grandpa is a side shot and the RSO is frontal. So I am not going to assume it is the RSO.

It's nice to see more pictures of the little sweetie- even though they are not recent. She is such a pretty baby, seems very thoughtful, pensive. :sigh: Where are you little one?

VM is saying there are more pictures of a "smiling, very happy" Aliayah but they are not allowed to post them because there are other children in the photos.
Hopefully someone will offer to crop them for her.

  • #369
Someone is in the process of doing that (cropping) ...

These pictures have now been posted on every rumor room (that I know about at least) regarding Aliayah. We'll see if the media picks them up.

SO precious! I wanna take her home with me! Where are you Baby Girl?

The last press conference conducted by the FBI was in regards to the arrest of Lena Lunsford, Aliayah's mother, on a federal welfare fraud count.
This week, the FBI mobile command center was relocated to the Vadis area of Lewis County to presumably search an area where her step-father Ralph Lunsford lived in 2009. Law enforcement said the search moved to the western end of Lewis County based on credible information from community sources.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that new photos were released on facebook and not the media?

If the photos had been given to a local news station, I think national media may have picked up the story again.

Releasing them on facebook has more to do with the person who has one of the facebook pages helping this group of extended family. Why would she tell them to release them to the media when she can generate all that traffic to her facebook page? Just my opinion.

Just for clarification....I did not steal these pictures from anyone's personal facebook page. They are uploaded on an open Lewis County news facebook page.
(before anyone starts yelling at me)

I won't yell at you but I do want to clarify that that isn't a local news page. It's a page by a citizen who posts links & copies news stories from local news websites for Lewis County.

crap....it's too late to go back and remove all the pictures I posted.
Well, in my defense....I did not report on any facebook dramas....just what the Great Aunt was saying about the release of pictures.
and since the family released the pictures to facebook but not the media, I really had no other way to get the pictures.
so mods, please go easy on me :innocent:

I think the pics should stay. It's obviously the aunt who did the news interview. I don't think there is any doubt that they are pictures of Aliayah. I hope the news is paying attention and starts broadcasting the pictures. Any pictures at this point will bring more attention to Aliayah.

But I do worry that the aunt released the photos without the parents consent. That's illegal, isn't it? I always have to sign a release when the school want's to put a pic in the paper.

I don't know if it's illegal to post pictures other family members took on facebook. Heck, if it is, there's a whole lot of people breaking the law when they post pics from vacations and bday parties.

Thanks for all of the beautiful pics of little Aliayah! She has such beautiful eyes-!!

I'm not an expert-but if I had a picture of someone who was missing and wanted the word out-I'm not so sure that facebook would be my first option-or if I could/would wait a month.
IF they are breaking the law by posting them, LL will have a field day (sadly)
And imho-"Grandma" has the rest of her life to reflect on what SHE should have done to bring Aliayah home. I can only imagine how hard it must be on the "grieving family"

Absolutely adorable-in many ways Aliayah physically resembles my own daughter (who nearly 25!!). So beautiful and precious. Thanks for sharing these.
