Josh Taylor said on CNN that Brian left the house Tuesday with a backpack on and that his parents thought he was going on a local hike.
...that's a long hike

So, BL is missing. If my 22-year-old son, left the house with a backpack, I do not think the police would consider him missing, even if I would be worried. However, if BL has issues, then he becomes endangered missing. He needs to be found to help Gabby.
IMO, BL does what he wants, when he wants, regardless of who it impacts. I think he drove the van back to Florida because it was convenient for him. He doesn't want to help LE, so he refuses.
The word "missing" is a misnomer in his case, especially as it relates to Gabby. She is missing. He willfully walked away from his home.

He's very young yet bald. That's fairly distinctive IMO.

Yes, and quite probably the source of his insecurity.

I can't really agree. It may be cultural, but here in NYC it's a very common look, on guys from their 20s on up. Kind of a buff gym rat look, very often. Like The Rock. Definitely not a source of insecurity, and we still don't know for a fact if that was actually one of Brian's issues.

It's pretty good. I've used it in many of my hikes. I add it to my trails and even if there is no mobile service, it keeps track of my position. Haven't gone on a hike after 2018 though because I had a baby.
Still have it, I hope

I doubt this. They just assumed he went for an innocent hike in the middle of a missing person case his a part of?
Exactly, in a town in which people are extremely frustrated with him and his parents.

  • #346
I'd honestly be shocked if he wasn't found by tomorrow. This case has become a media frenzy, and even people who don't typically follow this stuff closely, are doing so.

Nowhere to hide, at least, for very long.

That will be good so they can at least put a tail on him. But what else can they do if they still haven't charged him with anything.

His family might have given him some cash before he left, but at some point he will need more financial support. How can his family anonymously continue to finance him? I'm sure every financial move made by his family and friends will be closely monitored by LE. How is he going to communicate with his family or his financial supporter? A burner phone? That can be traced also. If he takes any medications, how will he get those?
The only job he could possibly get would be for cash.

I don't see him being able to be on the run for long. Hopefully when he is caught, he will give Gabby's family some peace and honestly tell them what happened.

Prayers for Gabby's family.
Bolded: On that note, what if he isn't caught. What if he does harm himself? I'm wondering what the chances are that he told his parents what happened. Would they be willing to pass that infomation on. I just don't know.

WTF?! I can not keep up with this thread, much less wrap my head around the rapidly changing events of this case! Occum's Razor is beyond skewed at this point.

ETA: Thanks be to the Mods!!!

I'm leaning this way too. A picture of calculation is beginning to appear.

I don’t deny he isn’t calculating. In fact I’m completely in that boat with y’all on that. I think he’s calculating and arrogant. However….I think most of it is in vain. Now I don’t know what all skills he has. He seems like he’s well read(as an avid reader myself….that can have tremendous advantages). But can he start a fire on his own? Evade LE tails/capture, know how to stay off the grid, become a “grey man” etc. He’s not exactly ex-military. And it seems he’s had to rely on mommy and daddy a lot. And certainly more than just monetarily. Calculating yes? Actually good at what he does? In my eyes… not so much. Just good at BSing and getting very lucky thus far.

It is an app where you can record your hikes. Apparently you can look up other people on the app. Earlier this evening my husband and I tested it and went to the app and BL’s phone did in fact show up in North Port FL and GP’s in Puerto Rico. Again, I don’t know if this is accurate though. IMO
It is not accurate. Mine says PR right now too to prove a point and I have never been there and just signed up today.

the app or my baby? hahahha...
Had a baby ... as in delivered the baby in 2018.
After that, he became my CEO. the apps have been replaced by toddler game apps.

I was just wondering, what if BL went to Wyoming? O.o I don't know why I thought of it.

Yeah I know. It's just important to figure out where he is, so they can properly monitor him going forward.

Of course they can't arrest him or anything, as him running off is not a crime. But when/if the time does come, it helps to know where your suspect is.

Maybe they could 5150 him, as potentially dangerous to himself or others.

frustrated with him, his parents and law enforcement apparently.

I disagree. Shaving your head voluntarily is different to have a receding hairline. He did not shave his head, he kept hold of the hair he still had.

There is another possibility. I just can't believe that the police "lost track" of B.L.

The public is very angry. It would not be unusual if B.L. or his family have received threats. If the FBI determines that these threats pose a danger to B.L. or
his family, they could have moved B.L. to a safer location. Therefore the police and the family are telling the truth at not knowing where he is. Watch to see if the family leaves or there is a noticeable police presence outside home.

Just a thought.

I was really hoping at the very least, we'd get some kind of statement from the parents like, "He left her at ***, and hasn't seen her since." Not that I think it would be 100% truthful, but I thought we'd get something beyond just their sketchy son not coming back after a sketchy "hike."

Where are people getting that Brian has tattoos on his arms or hands? I don’t see any in any photos I can find. Including the 8-12 body cam video where the police photograph his hands.

Edited to add : He has one ring like Celtic tattoo on his right ring finger. Finally caught it.

He has NO tattoos on his arms which may be helpful in identifying if any possible sightings are him or not.

True, because as we remember in the bodycam 75 min. footage, as B was sitting on the curb, he asked the officer if he could go sit in the shade. I believe B said, "Because I'm bald." I didn't sense an ounce of shame or apology in the way he asked it.
