Very Interesting. I can see help in FL but not out west. But I also don’t know who all they came in contact with or who they knew previously that was out there. You certainly could be very right. I think ill just plead the 5th since I feel I have insufficient info to give a theory one way or another. Just going to sit back and see if you end up being right. And like I said….you very well may be right.
I think any accessories are the "after the fact," variety. I also think they're close to home.

Maybe they could 5150 him, as potentially dangerous to himself or others.

What grounds would they use for that? Is going walkabout a mental illness? Again, LE have not declared that a crime has been committed, they have not accused him of a mental breakdown, I doubt that he walking around like a basketcase. While I would love LE to charge him and take him into custody I don't want to see 5150 abused by LE for convenience.

A good private investigator could be handy. I cannot believe LE didn't have eyes on him. And no one can confirm if he was ever at his parents home? LE just took his parent's word? It's so hard to believe. Gabby's family must be furious.

Jonathan Riches is a family friend... He's getting confused as the attorney... He's a Petito family friend that was speaking with news in front of bf house
Police arrive at home of Brian Laundrie, boyfriend of Gabby Petito
DISAPPEARANCE Brian Laundrie leaves home, but where? Vigil, protesters demand answers in Gabby Petito's disappearance
Have the Petito's said he is a family friend? Because as far as I know, JLR is a whack job who is not only an ex-con, but is infamous for inserting himself in missing person cases. Some posters here may remember him from the Watts case, but that was not his first. MOO

I am now understanding why the family hired a lawyer from NY. Easier to feed inaccurate information about his whereabouts to somebody advising him from the other side of the country.

Good night questions:
  • is he armed?
  • who actually saw BL after Sept. 1?
  • why did he fly (if he did) back to FL between August 17 and 23?
  • are there alligators in Myyaka and Myyakahatchee parks?

There is another possibility. I just can't believe that the police "lost track" of B.L.

The public is very angry. It would not be unusual if B.L. or his family have received threats. If the FBI determines that these threats pose a danger to B.L. or
his family, they could have moved B.L. to a safer location. Therefore the police and the family are telling the truth at not knowing where he is. Watch to see if the family leaves or there is a noticeable police presence outside home.

Just a thought.
Mind boggling to realize LE never even laid eyes on him in Florida.

Attorney Says Fiancé Brian Laundrie Missing as Search for Gabby Petito Continues – NBC Chicago
The police conversation on Friday marked the first time that any member of the Laundrie family who has been in contact with Brian has agreed to talk with officers involved in the investigation into Petito's disappearance. Garrison said he believes they have at least some information that could help in the investigation.

"Gabby lived in that house too, in North Port. So if Brian returned without Gabby, you would think people would be asking: 'Where is Gabby at?' There had to be some type of conversation or dialogue with the parents and other family member," Garrison speculated. "I'm a reasonable person, but I would believe that, yes, they do know something."

Assuming the merchant in Idaho can be confirmed, and the TicToker, here's where we are:

8/24: Gabby checks out of Fairfield Inn and Suites
8/25 0r 8/26: Owner of Rustic Row in Idaho says Petito and Laundrie spent about 15 to 20 minutes in the store.
8/29: Laundrie alone. Hitchhiking. No vehicle. Babbling about his fiancé and video editing and Snake River. Picked up Colter Bay, Grand Teton.

If accurate it puts the focus between 8/25-8/26 and 8/28-8/29. A 3-4 day period max.

Where they were during this period could be the whole key.

I had a feeling no one had ever laid eyes on Brian. It was all the parents saying he wasn’t available. I bet the attorney has not seen him and was duped by the parents as well, IMO.

was he ever there? I’m not sure I think so. I can’t offer any reasoning but something is really off with the parents.

If he is armed and the police know this because of searching the vehicle/missing gun (speculation), that would be negligence not to report on his “missing” flyer, I believe. They would need to say “danger to self or others” as would be stated in any other missing persons report where they took a gun with them, previous crime and “rights” or not.

I’m afraid he could get really dangerous. Remember Peter Manfredonia and the home invasions during the manhunt? Chilling. He will need supplies and a hiding spot. And how does he plan to get that, especially if he is going off his rocker mentally unstable.

I sincerely hope he is not armed and is more fearful and traumatized than very scary unstable right now. Because situations like these are unpredictable. People crack in half under pressure…in on themselves, or out onto their surroundings. Given what happened towards Gabby, he seems the latter. Ugh.

He inserts himself in many famous (or infamous) cases with fraudulent identities. He claimed to be the Sandy Hook killer's uncle. He was not.

Police Unsure Where Fiancé of Gabby Petito Is, As Family Talks To Investigators for 1st Time

9/17/21

What to Know
  • North Port Police said they did not know where Brian Laundrie was as of Friday evening, and that authorities were trying to determine if the notion that Laundrie may be missing has any "credibility"
  • The Laundrie family attorney contacted police Friday evening "concerned that they have not seen Brian," Taylor said, but would not say when family or authorities were last certain of Laundrie's whereabouts
  • For the first time since Gabby Petito went missing, members of the Laundrie family spoke with investigators at their Florida home Friday evening

I mean, they couldn't just go in there without a warrant and verify.

The sheriff seemed confident that he knew the location of Brian, and I'm assuming they did know he was in the home at some point.

Maybe he snuck out the back door or something. You're kind of limited if maybe the evidence is not there yet to obtain certain warrants (cell phone tracking, and other surveillance).

I'm not happy either, but we don't know the facts yet.

Its Florida. I’d say gators are theoretically an issue anywhere you go sans maybe(the ocean). Or a football game….Sorry, I couldn’t stop myself for making that joke. Even Disney had that alligator attack(sadly the child died) in their man made lagoon in front of the magic kingdom.

Actually good at what he does? In my eyes… not so much. Just good at BSing and getting very lucky thus far.
IMO, all that has happened is because people trusted him. He was just an ordinary guy, no priors, polite, etc. We don't treat ordinary 23 year olds as potential murderers.

Gabby trusted him, her family trusted him, police in Moab trusted him, I bet his parents did too, and Florida police trusted his parents.

Something happened with Gabby and now, he can't be trusted. It just takes time for people to accept they've been betrayed by someone they once trusted.

JMO.

I was really hoping at the very least, we'd get some kind of statement from the parents like, "He left her at ***, and hasn't seen her since." Not that I think it would be 100% truthful, but I thought we'd get something beyond just their sketchy son not coming back after a sketchy "hike."
They may reach a point where seeing their son behind bars alive is more important to them than him winding up dead.
