Yup, it's been reported by numerous outlets. Is this real? Something about it seems off to me.
I think it's a thing of beauty.

They could have done this without filing him missing. No one has seen him at the house so there was no need to pull some smoke and mirrors illusion to move him. Plus, people get threats all the time and the police do nothing. There’s no way LE are putting him in a safe house while he hinders their investigation to find Gabby. MOOThere is another possibility. I just can't believe that the police "lost track" of B.L.
The public is very angry. It would not be unusual if B.L. or his family have received threats. If the FBI determines that these threats pose a danger to B.L. or
his family, they could have moved B.L. to a safer location. Therefore the police and the family are telling the truth at not knowing where he is. Watch to see if the family leaves or there is a noticeable police presence outside home.
Just a thought.
@oviedo...timeline.Assuming the merchant in Idaho can be confirmed, and the TicToker, here's where we are:
8/24: Gabby checks out of Fairfield Inn and Suites
8/25 0r 8/26: Owner of Rustic Row in Idaho says Petito and Laundrie spent about 15 to 20 minutes in the store.
8/29: Laundrie alone. Hitchhiking. No vehicle. Babbling about his fiancé and video editing and Snake River. Picked up Colter Bay, Grand Teton.
If accurate it puts the focus between 8/25-8/26 and 8/28-8/29. A 3-4 day period max.
Where they were during this period could be the whole key.
Exactly....and I noticed he is drinking from a plastic bottle on an Instagram post with his nephews. BL makes no sense and has an inflated opinion of himself. So a guy is on the loose in Florida wearing a backpack, maybe a mask with sunglasses and based on previous behavior, barefoot as well? To ver
So a guy is on the loose in Florida wearing a backpack, maybe a mask with sunglasses and based on previous behavior, barefoot as well? To verify it’s BL offer him a bottle of water. If he says no because he’s trying to save the planet, call police.
ify it’s BL offer him a bottle of water. If he says no because he’s trying to save the planet, call police.
No way! Did you see all those people in his yard?
He inserts himself in many famous (or infamous) cases with fraudulent identities. He claimed to be the Sandy Hook killer's uncle. He was not.Have the Petito's said he is a family friend? Because as far as I know, JLR is a whack job who is not only an ex-con, but is infamous for inserting himself in missing person cases. Some posters here may remember him from the Watts case, but that was not his first. MOO

Lol, you're right. I got my hopes up tonight, thinking that the family had finally decided to come clean about what they knew. As it turned out however, this was completely self serving.
I'm sure law enforcement will expand their presence in that neighborhood, but it won't quiet the mob. This is going to be one wild weekend.
Here comes the circus.
IMO, all that has happened is because people trusted him. He was just an ordinary guy, no priors, polite, etc. We don't treat ordinary 23 year olds as potential murderers.
Gabby trusted him, her family trusted him, police in Moab trusted him, I bet his parents did too, and Florida police trusted his parents.
Something happened with Gabby and now, he can't be trusted. It just takes time for people to accept they've been betrayed by someone they once trusted.
JMO.
That will be good so they can at least put a tail on him. But what else can they do if they still haven't charged him with anything.
Misread sorry. Yes. I agree. Hard to shake, right?I think any accessories are the "after the fact," variety. I also think they're close to home.
Attorney Says Fiancé Brian Laundrie Missing as Search for Gabby Petito Continues – NBC Chicago
The police conversation on Friday marked the first time that any member of the Laundrie family who has been in contact with Brian has agreed to talk with officers involved in the investigation into Petito's disappearance. Garrison said he believes they have at least some information that could help in the investigation.
"Gabby lived in that house too, in North Port. So if Brian returned without Gabby, you would think people would be asking: 'Where is Gabby at?' There had to be some type of conversation or dialogue with the parents and other family member," Garrison speculated. "I'm a reasonable person, but I would believe that, yes, they do know something."
I think BL is a suicide, and I think GP is deceased in GTNP or YNP (less likely). I think GTNP and YNP Law Enforcement have cctv at all park entrances (which I think will confirm when GP and BL came in and when they went out. I happen to think they may have entered GTNP twice (and might have even been coming down from YNP just before BL supposedly began his three day hike along the Snake River which ended with the alibi-building hitchhike ride to Jackson Dam.
I still think it will be key if they can prove that BL sent a text on GP’s phone on the 30th (on the way to FL) because I think GTNP LE already knows that GP was not a passenger (up front, anyway) in that van when it left the park.
It appears that at this time, GTNP LE thinks GP may be found in the area between Jenny Lake and Colter Bay. I think anywhere between Jackson Hole and Colter Bay. If they made a brief trip west and/or up to YNP, there are also places up in Yellowstone where LE may never find a trace. I guess any possible YNP trip would be based in the veracity of the Victor and Ashland sitings, and even then, it could’ve just been a short excursion out of the park
I think BL told his parents a partially true story about how he and GP had split up, and that he was flying home early to begin to put her things into storage. Then he flew back (possibly this time at GP’s request - that’s how codependent their relationship was - to drive her from SLC to GTNP and then on up to Yellowstone so she could then meet and continue the trip with her friend from NY. At that point, BL was to take the van back to FL. That was the plan - but something went wrong after the Jenny Lake lot. And this (again) is all speculation
I truly think BL’s parents bought the story he concocted. They had no reason not to. Plus, BL may not have known what he was going to do until he did it. This was probably not premeditated.
Only after 9/10 and 9/11 did things start to heat up - they became so hot that the parents now started to wonder about BL and the story.. but as soon as they did so, BL was gone. The parents were now simply confused. He was still their son. They didn’t know anything other than what he had told them
Plus, did anybody ever actually ask if BL was ever inside the house after the 11th? I don’t fault LE. BL was gone quick (I think w/in two days of when the missing persons report was filed). And I don’t blame the parents, other than they may have raised a son with low self esteem and an all-engrossing fear of abandonment.
It may sound illogical, but a terrified insecure person like that might contemplate taking their partner’s life in order to keep that partner from “abandoning” THEM. Abandonment’s message (especially between two people who are codependent), once again, is: you’re no good, you’re not good enough for me, and you never will be.
