She worded her message nicely, yes he is not worth it.
She knows he changed.

That lady is very nice to have sent such a positive message to the victim. Good for her and I'm sending positive energy and healing to her and her kids.

Heartbreaking to think of his children learning about his crimes. I would literally vomit learning someone I loved and thought the world of was a sick person. Prayers for them

I'm so glad this was posted, as I went to bed last night knowing that Jesse Speer had children (and perhaps a wife).

Knowing that they've been separated/divorced for a few years, and that she has sole custody, is comforting.

The more I read about him, the more I think there are many crimes to be solved.

This seems totally viable to me. I have one problem with the theory that JS is responsible for Jessica's murder, though... where would he have dismembered her? (It disgusts me to even have to type and think that!) That's why I'm thinking Jessica's murder has to be tied to someone local to Westminster. Who else would have access to a bathtub or some other place to carry out such a disgusting act? I don't think JS did.

Why dismember a body inside a home, then have to (sorry for being blunt) carry the mess outside into a vehicle, then drive around to find a spot to leave the remains?

To me, it'd be more logical to take a live victim to the abandoned shack (or immediate area) and then do the deed.

Based on the time it took to do DNA, I even wonder if the body was burned (which would also cause disarticulation).

I keep hoping that this was actually his first offense, so that no other little girls have been hurt by him. If he did abruptly change a few months ago when he stopped talking to his ex, maybe that will be true.

Good point! Who knows, really? We don't think like this monster (or at least I hope not!), so there's no telling what sort of logic he employed. Ugh... it makes me sick to even think about this!

Not yet. I have two tv stations open, one from Montana, one from Colorado, and a news radio station from Wyoming. Not sure if any will have it up. All the links are upthread. I'll post which, if any start, the presser. I couldn't find any stations in Wyoming that video stream live.

If they split in 2009 (according to her blog) maybe that is when he started?

I don't tend to think that lyric and Elizabeth would be a victim of this man. But I'm sure they will look into that possibility. It seems that E and L's abduction seems more similar to Jessica's.

I guess that depends upon whether the killer wanted to make quick work of it or take his time. If this guy is the one, there is no way he'd miss the chance for pics. Can't do that in the dark without a flash, and daytime is too risky in a public place. Lots or hikers, drivers on the roads, people awake in the homes with a view, etc., then you also have to schlep the tools and clean yourself up somehow.
