lol, download speed wasn't too bad. I can now name a map but as far as beign offered the option to edit, describe or otherwise flag and pin my map, nuttin.

Sigh, maybe the whole posting pretty maps thing just isn't goignt o be for me. I do much better when just poking around in the maps and finding areas that feel right.

Thanks for trying to help tho guys. I feel really stupid.

To those who are going there tomorrow? You going to bring coffee, hot choc, cookies for searchers maybe? Maybe they'd appreesh.

They seem to be so driven to find every bit of her.

sarx- on that area 1...I'm missing the size parameters. And it's not listed in the google shot. I can guesstimate, but we all know where that gets us. Can you give me distance for N/S/E/W? or at least total acreage? TIA.

Rough estimate-2-3 acres

yep, I am frickin doen, I just navigated into the stupid google help screen and when I tried to reopn my custom map, it was gone.

I'm over it. Back to doing things my good old fashioned low tech way.

keep trying tl, it just takes some practice. on the top bar of google earth you should see a yellow pushpin, it will say "add placemark" when you hover on it.

Bottled water, coffee, anything hot, anything with sugar, extra gloves. All are usually appreciated in searches like these. But again- you can call the Sheriffs dept and ask. They'll tell you what they need/don't need.

Bless your heart....I've done the same thing before, but ended up with so many little colored stickers on my map I had to dump it and give up..I don't have a clue how they got there either!

We feel your pain, tlcox. :blowkiss:

Chocolate........

I was also wondering about searching on horseback if that's possible. They are good for searching the more open areas such as fields and pastures.

Okay, anyhow, in google maps, I gave up on mapping the areas already searched as others far better at finding a GD pushpin have already done so back in the initial thread. I will just have to go find them and link them here.

I just flew around and checked out google earth. While doing so an area came to my attention that would seem to have the criteria I think LE need to be considering in their search efforts.

The first EB "assisted" search was taking place on Dudley and then moved to Christy. While checking out the most reasonable way for one to arrive from one to the other while being discreet and little seen as possible, I think it wise to consider Deal Mill. If you drove Duddley, then Burns, then onto Deal Mill Road, you would then find Christy where the prosthetic was located near Ekart Place.

Deal Mill, from what I can see has woods, it is sparsley populated, on the way to Christy where we know evidence was found and if you look at the area at 35.867282, -81.428174 is a stretch that is wooded, no lights that I can see, with a turn off dirt looking road that heads to the west northwest and seems to be a back road leading to a body of water.

lemme know if you can find it from those directions. I truly have given up on the embedding pretty pushpinned maps in my post for the night. Tomorrow, alas, is another day.

They are. But that I don't have any confirmation on.

tlcox, I think I know the area you are referring to. Thank you for trying so hard with your infuriating pushpins. :)

groan, no, itnow it went away. I am wasting my entire envening being deated by the lack of a button.

Your evening has not been wasted. It has been spent searching for a way to help find Zahra, and that is no waste in any way. :blowkiss:

Chocolate........

M & M's in individual sizes never a bad idea. Perhaps people have some candy left over from Halloween. :) But again- call the Sheriffs dept. They may have other useful items or jobs they need done.

ty. I am off to look for other likely areas along the route.

Is there some way of enticing more local input about areas that could be of interest?

Does anyone have the list of alias names for EB handy? Also the list of past addresses for her? TIA
