Okay folks, it is official. I am the worst sleuther EVER! Halfway down the mountain I realized, not only did I forget my camera (duh), I forgot my phone so couldn't even take cell phone picks! (Double Duh!) :loser: Anyway here are my observations and if anything comes of this area, I will go back out Friday, WITH camera, since kids are home tomorrow. (A Big Thanks to all our Veterans!)

First, let me say that after turning off of 321 onto Yadkin River Road to the time I came out back onto 321 from Indian Grave road, I saw 1 car. And this was from around 8:15 to 8:30 this morning. There was no searching or even a sign of a search to come, but maybe I was early? Indian Grave, goes from paved, to dirt and back to paved. The dirt section is incredibly desolate and since most the leaves are down, I can say that there are areas of that road that NOBODY would see you. Also since it is dirt with extreme curves you could hear somebody coming from a ways away. I have never seen a dumping place like this before and it was so sad to see such beautiful land disrespected. (Off soapbox) At just about EVERY turn there is trash, tires, trashcans, bags and bags of trash. I saw a 2ltr SunDrop bottle on a stick, hats on sticks and even paper plates in trees? Awful!
Please don't take my sleuther card away just yet!:innocent:
Have to go to appointment, will be back in a little while, but just wanted to give you all an update and also...get my freakin' phone!:crazy:

My daughter saw the searchers heading out this morning between 7 -7:15 am.

She saw a parade of 30-35 cars/vans/emergency vehicles traveling together after leaving the Hudson Fire/Rescue. She said the vans were loaded with people and the cars (mostly) had 3-4 in them. A lot of searchers.

She said part of them went straight across 321 up the Pine Mtn Rd to head up the Christie Road/Dudley Shoals area. The other part took the Mt. Herman Road which heads toward the Drag Strip Road. However one note is that the Mt. Herman Rd does connect with the Pine Mtn Rd via a road named Freezer Locker Rd.

Search teams are combing a new site in Caldwell County on Wednesday for evidence related to the investigation of Zahra Baker, the missing 10-year-old girl. Crews began searching at an area off of Dudley Shoals Road in Caldwell County at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Officials said this area, which has been searched before, was one of the locations that Elisa Baker suggested search crews look.
Monday, investigators they focused on paperwork which must be done, reviewing and re-evaluating their evidence. Police are also interviewing tipsters. On Tuesday, teams searched a site off of Indian Grave Road, just north of Lenoir and 10 miles north of the Christie Road location.
Officials said that the 32 searchers were unable to find any evidence on Tuesday.

The road is the Drag Strip Rd and my daughter saw part of the search crew headed in that general direction this morning.

Wonder if they know something about that area too or just searching everywhere EB has lived. A lot of search area if that's what they are doing!

It says in the article I just posted from this morning that officials said that the areas they are searching today are places EB suggested.

I swear all these places they are looking is like finding a needle in a haystack. EB & AB should be punished even more for not telling them exactly where she's at.

Well, Dragstrip Rd. could definitely form a loop from Yadkin, thru Indian Grave, up to Dragstrip Rd. and back. If you go straight up 268 , looks like you pass right by the airport.
