ZFG Civil Case: Casey's Deposition #2

I'm not sure what deception Mr. Green could be talking about because everything KC said was on video tape. Everything that was said to LE was documented in a report. Threats received, yelled from a car, cannot be confirmed in any documentation that I know of. It's not like ZG is claiming someone tacked a "threat" to her door. We all heard KC tell her mother she did not see a picture of "that woman from Kississmee". Perhaps the next jury will pay more attention to the actual evidence instead of the KC spin. jmo

and that's the hell of it. I have grown increasingly jaded regarding the rights of the violated vs the rights of the accused. No, I get it, I do - we need to protect those who may have been unjustly accused. So we throw the law abiding out the window. Oh well, you've just been (fill in the blank - raped/murdered/assaulted/robbed/burgled/abused) so what - it's not YOU who needs protecting....no no no no no, just the poor soul who has been accused. I do get it. But what I want to ask is, why should I continue to obey the law? Seriously, why? I'd have more rights as a debtor and accused felon. The only "rights" I have are those afforded to me if I break the law. And I am a sturdy and durable citizen (and old - ish). What rights do I enjoy? Paying taxes, jury duty, bailing out other folks who thought free money mortgages and credit card bills were their right? I sound like a freakin capital L libertarian here. I'm not - and I haven't occupied anything recently either.

Where are my rights? Where do I stand in line to be protected from mayhem?

oy! rant off. (sorry, snip as need be)

BBM. At the nearest AllState office? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

This is all I could find out there and it's from cfnews....sounds like Mr. Greene didn't exactly get what he wanted today...but he put up a good front..:great:

http://www.cfnews13.com/article/new...honys-civil-attorney-deposes-Zenaida-Gonzalez

Picture of Zenaida - not sure if it was taken when it was over but she looks exhausted!

Wow. Greene is just...I'd get a TO if I said what I felt. He wants to know if Zenaiada has seen a psychiatrist? How about getting help for your own crazy client, Greene? What the heck kind of question is that? Dang, he is just being a total <modsnip> towards Zenaida, and I'm sure he would protest his head off if the same questions were asked of Casey. Dang, but she finds the slimiest, most unethical lawyers to work for her! I guess it's like attracting like. Sheesh.

I hope Zenaida is okay after that 12 hour long deposition. That is just insane. What the Hades takes twelve hours to ask? And of course, Casey didn't have to be depoed that long! This case just incenses me the more I hear about it these days. God, I sincerely hope the December hearing goes the way of the plaintiff and NOT Casey. Zenaida needs a freaking break and I'm tired of Casey getting ALL of them!

Wasn't he just plain nasty to listen to? Ack - this is all just so annoying! Yes, I am sure she was getting tired after 12 straight hours of testifying...and what was your point? I can't believe the legal system allows this - it isn't even human.
Now it's your turn Mr. Greene - hand over your client for a similar depo thank you...or are you just nasty with no action?

Asking if Z?G has seen a psychiatrist is a legitimate question if she's seeking payment for emotional distress.

Just once, I wish Zenaida would answer the 'why are you suing' questions with BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE CAN, SO I WILL.

Maybe she can't afford to see one? And if she says yes or no - how is he going to know differently if your laws around medical information apply?

I'm not sure she is seeking emotional damages only what happened to her when she was being threatened and economic damages because of what she went through with her job. If they are going to ask for punitive damages isn't it up to the jury to decide how much she suffered. If she is not seeking psychological damages it's just a question that has no bearing on the case. To my knowledge this is not a case involving medical damages but that of defamation. My guess it's just FYI for the attorneys when they argue the case that she did not seek medical treatment. JMO

Listening to Atty Green I felt he was very unprofessional and I was surprised at what he said. Most of the public are aware of the lives his client has destroyed and that ZG was just one more victum. His choice of words were ill chosen, IMO. He would have come off much better had he said it was a long day and Ms. ZG was very cooperative. It's too late to try and paint KC as an unsuspecting victum of Ms. ZG.

They may have gotten some very good information from this depo but the facts remain if M&M parade only a small portion of the people whose lives are forever changed by KC it will not matter what argument KC's team comes up with.......as long as the jury uses their common sense. jmo

Thought just came to me what is going to happen to the other people who are lined up to sue FCA? When their Deposition time comes, I'm sure it'll be another 12+ hour process when the FCA team deposes people like TM, JG, RG, etc. They'll just go for the less than perfect lifestyle some of them may have led-because these attorneys seem like a group of bottom feeders. It's just a waste of time to ask questions that has no relation to what happened since July '08.

The thing that bothers me the most about this totally outlandish deposition is that Greene is going to release the video to the public, after arguing that fca's could not be released.

There is no reason I can think of that could explain a 12 hour session. I can't post what I think of this "person".

ITA I hope her Attorney's fight to have the depo sealed. I believe it would be a travesty, a crime committed by the Court to release her depo - it would be picked apart and if we can't see the depo of the Child Murderer (IMO), even in disguise, then ZFG's depo should be sealed - fca and all of the people surrounding her are like the "John Milton" character, played by Pacino, and all of the people surrounding him in the film "The Devil's Advocate" .

GAARRRRaaarahhhhrrrrr!

must not log in again!!!!

KC's depo was released, just not the video. I think if the video is released KC won't have a leg to stand on regarding holding up her's. If KC's attorneys were truly worried about KC's safety (reason for sealing her depo) they would want to keep everything quiet. Releasing ZG's would prove they aren't worried about her safety. jmo

I'm watching a documentary about the Innocence Project -to my surprise, Cheney Mason was the attorney for Wilton Dedge, a convicted (wrongly, apparently), rapist. DNA resulted in the case being overturned.

Totally off-topic, but it's Thanksgiving and the Mods are making turkey and dressing.

Happy Thanksgiving all :)

ZG does not need a doctor to confirm to the jury how she felt about what happened to her. Everyone reacts differently to any situation. What's important is how ZG felt and what she experienced because KC lied. You don't need a doctor to confirm how you feel and what you feel is damaging to you. jmo

I don't think Green is the one releasing the video. The depo was taken at Morgan's office, and recorded by Morgan, so the video rights belong to Morgan. Green could put in a motion to stop the video from being released, if Morgan decides to release the video, but I'm not so sure Green could file a motion to compell Morgan to release the deposition.

On second thought maybe Green could file a motion to compell Morgan to release the deposition, it seems lawyers can file motions for just about anything these days.

Well, if they do release the video, I for one will look forward to seeing it.
To depose someone for twelve hours, I believe Green tried to break ZFG down just short of waterboarding her. I think he tried his best to trip her up and confuse her.
I hope it shows just what kind of lawyer he is!

This was Atty Green's deposition of ZG, not M&M. The location has no bearing on who does the deposition and the responsibility to pay the recorder belongs to Atty Green, not Morgan. If Atty Green requested the video it would also be his responsibility to pay for it, not Morgan's. jmo
