The car that struck and killed a Fergus, Ont. 18-year-old in 2008 was hidden behind a false wall inside a semi-trailer when police found it more than a decade later, Wellington County OPP say.

The above link covers the solving of a 15+ year hit-and-run that killed a young man named Lucas Shortreed. It occurred between Alma and Fergus a little over an hour drive south of Owen Sound. The story is quite astounding in regards to the length that the perpetrators went to avoid being found out. You can't write this stuff!!
Why does this have any relevance? My thoughts:
1) Both cases have a car as a major clue.
2) The Shortreed case had appeared to have gone cold but the OPP never gave up.
3) After 15 years, the OPP received a tip which cracked the case along with a lot of subsequent hard work by OPP specialists.
So we should have hope that someone somewhere knows something and wants to get something off their chest.
