Has anyone done the Ancestry.com DNA test? My brother did and shared what countries our DNA came from and I found it fascinating. I had no idea I was 38% Irish as I have identified more from coming from Western Europe, which was 34%. The remainder was Scandanavia and Iberian Peninsula. I bought...

I am sorry about my gutted post yesterday. Today is better. I had been looking for a well bred broodmare that had bloodlines similar to Knox's for over a year. I thought I found one, got all the info, and wanted to buy her sight unseen. Another buyer had expressed interest first and was given...

Good Afternoon my lovely SB friends. The sun is out and the snow is melting, the cold wind blowing. I haven't set a foot outside since last Friday. My German Shepherds are loving the snow and spend so much time out back, running and playing. I can't seem to get out of bed today, so I am...

Sentencing and beyond- Jodi Arias General Discussion #4

I am laughing listening to this recorded phone call. He is playing her big time. I laughed at his talking about setting up a 501C3. He has no clue what is involved in getting that accomplished. Some rappers jump gates and leave their demos by the front door of some big time producer, hoping to...

DE DE - John 'Jack' Wheeler, 66, Wilmington, 30 Dec 2010

http://www.cryptogon.com/?p=19640 http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2011/01/john-p-wheeler-iii/68755/ When Governor Carper's staffer, Anne Marie Fahey went missing, all the stops were pulled out to try and find her. I did not get the same impression of the full court press with Mr...

DE DE - John 'Jack' Wheeler, 66, Wilmington, 30 Dec 2010

I have lived in Wilmington for close to 30 years. I find it not so very strange that more has not been more forthcoming, because of his government connections, that information is what we are allowed to know.

AZ - 6 Arizona Students Used School Spirit T-Shirts to Spell Out the "N" Word

Perhaps these students need more history lessons this coming month. OMG. Yes they hear it in hip hop and rap, but that doesn't make it any less acceptable. Respect.

Dry skin and hair loss come with drops in estrogen and testosterone, medications, stress. If you wonder if you have thyroid issues, look at your eyebrows. IIRC, If you start missing eyebrows from the midline out, chances are your thyroid could be affected. Other conditions can cause this too, so...

Dmacky, have you tried Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner? It will help retain your hair and encourage hair growth. Hormones have a huge influence on hair loss as well as medications. Sometimes lab results don't indicate the cause. The Nioxin works well should you choose to use it. Xo

I picked up Knox's ashes on Friday before the snow. The lovely people that cremated him had him placed in the handmade mahaghony box. He is now in my Family Room, sitting on the "Civil War" table, which has been in my family for over 200 years. The large visible black burn rings were made by the...

Well we didn't get that much snow after all. Maybe 12-18"? It has just drifted back and forth and blown everywhere. Most of the high snow drifts are stacked up against the back of the house. I truthfully was expecting a blizzard like the ones in 1983 or 1996. So glad this was not a repeat of those!

We have power here so far which is wonderful. We have a heat pump so rely totally on electricity. The wind was blowing the flaps of the dog doors open so we shut them down for the night. And of course we (DH) woke up to a lovely present from my male GSD. I am really kinda glad that we are...

Wagara, your hats are adorable! I remember last year driving through SC during a snowstorm and seeing all this cars that had skidded off of I 95, and there wasn't that much snow, but ice underneath. I hope you don't have to go out.
