Great job Vermontaigne! Your matches resulted in leads in the investigation, and perhaps the perps will be caught because of your great work. That is truely awesome :)
Perhaps the height on the missing person report was overstated, and the estimated height of the UID was a little too low. Margaret's MP report says her hair is blonde, but it looks brown in the photo.
The article posted mentioned that a mitochondrial DNA sample was taken back when the UID was found. The remains are being exhumed so that a nuclear DNA sample can be taken.
Also, they want to do an isotopic analysis on her bones.
I have to agree with the King County guy in that I don't see much resemblance between the morgue photo of the UID and Keli McGinniss. To me, the morgue photo shows a young woman that looks to be in her late teens or early twenties at the very most. Keli would have been 26 in 1991, and her...
Thank you for the Charley link, I hadn't read that before now. I thought that it might have been a vague sighting, such as an acquaintance thought they saw him walking down the street or at the supermarket.
Kudos, SSA. I think it's very possible that the LKA date is wrong, and that is why John Holt never came up on LE's database searches. It makes me think of the Heidi Balch case; she was the Joel Rifkin victim that was finally identified last year. Someone reported seeing her alive years after...
I agree. I was 11 years old in 1989, and I lived in Boulder, Colorado which isn't rural at all. My parents were very responsible, but they both worked full-time and I was sometimes left home alone without a babysitter. I was mature for my age and never got into any trouble.
I try not to...
The apartment she was murdered in was a studio, so I doubt that she shared it with a female friend. Studio apartments are usually very small and designed for one single person or a couple at the very most.
I think the information that linked the photos to the UIDs came from a shoe salesman. He said that he sold the two pairs of white sandals that were found with the bodies to the girls in the photos.

Great work getting these people's pictures and stories out to as many people as possible :)
I don't know much about how Facebook works, because I don't have a FB account and have no interest in signing up. When I try to read comments on Never Forget Me, FB tells me that I need to log in...
I would think that if Jenika accidentally ODed, the person she was with would have anonymously dropped her body off somewhere where it would have been discovered. By concealing her body, the person made themself guilty of a crime. It is likely that some of her other friends were also drug users...
Has it been revealed if the roommate had an alibi during the estimated timeframe in which it is believed Molly died? If he does have an alibi, I think that WS posters should discontinue accusing him of involvement in Molly's death.
The character in Breaking Bad died while choking on her vomit while laying on her back, not from ODing. I don't see any remote similarities between the show and Molly's story.
The other photos of Jimmy Edwards don't show a scar on his forehead. I think that may be a lock of his hair instead of a scar in the photo that is posted in this thread.
My first thought after reading that her roommates shaved off their dreads was lice. When your dreads get lice, you usually have to cut them off.
Just my $0.02.
Yes, Sylvia's site is fascinating. I grew up in Boulder, and I remember hearing about that poor unidentified girl. I was amazed when Sylvia finally identified her after all those years.
This is the first that I've read about the unidentified woman in Blackhawk.
I think the article on Sylvia's site is describing two different unidentified women. The Blackhawk pyre victim, who is the topic of this thread, was believed to be 25-30 years old and had black hair.
Then the article mentions a Boulder Canyon female victim that was 17 years old and had...
According to KC's Charley page, he had pins in both legs and in his left wrist. KC also had long surgical scars on his legs that would have been mentioned in the UID's description (I would hope). So I don't think this is a match.
I apologize if this has already been disclosed, but I would be interested to know if any of her bones were broken postmortem. If any were, that would support the possibility that her body was dropped on to the train from above.
