Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #12

My old main theory still works. Just a theory, so I'm not stating these as facts except the obvious facts in there, lol. -- The pilot was trying to get the Malaysian gov't (which he hated) to shoot down civilians as a political protest/to cause grief to that gov't. This was prompted on the day...

Yep, from Woods Hole in the Northeast. They have the coolest stuff: http://www.whoi.edu/main/ndsf I don't know if anyone else does the very deep sea crafts. I'd be interested in hearing who does (of course our military would use WHI technology if we have need for that in the military)...

I was checking shipping lanes to see if there were dead spots, and that's where I got, too. Here is the arc where it last sent info to satellite: And here are the shipping lanes: There is a dead spot the general shape of a triangle under Indonesia that DOES include part of the...

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #10

Has anyone done the math on whether there was enough fuel for the plane to fly to the arc of the flight corridor (northern) if they flew to the west of India? I'm just not seeing them flying through Indian airspace and not getting picked up while that's also the border of China. China and India...

We would at least still order them from them, imho. My family member used to run an international Motorola plant, and he travelled to Malaysia often because of the plant (plants?) there. I did read the Texas company all those folks worked at used to be part of Motorola. I'd assume that that's...

Would it be dark in the Maldives at 06:15 local time? I'm just wondering if they could have gotten the time pretty wrong. Chances are they'd know whether the sun had come up or not, though, so if it was light out that makes a difference.

What do you think happened to Malaysia Flight370?

I never realize these polls allow multiple answers, lol. I'm not sure what happened to the plane. I do think it was probably the pilot's doing, possibly at knifepoint. But I think he himself may have been disillusioned enough with the current government because of the outcome of the trial that...

GUILTY FL - Jordan Davis, 17, shot to death, Satellite Beach, 23 Nov 2012 #8

I just can't believe anyone would buy self defense after the man drove off after emptying his gun into a car full of people and never even called police -- ever. I mean, what does someone have to do to show that they are guilty down there in Florida? 3 jurors voting for self defense? It's...

They convicted of attempted murder because the threat was gone and he was now pursuing them.

Is the prosecution allowed to explain how self-defense is an affirmative defense? That would help a lot in the next trial, I think. Basically, Dunn does have to prove his innocence with that defense, and that's huge.

I understand someone holding fast for M1, too (although I wouldn't do it), but current reaction from the public shows a very bad unintended consequence of that. Many folks are saying that the decision was injustice, particularly in letting a white man kill another black youth and get 'let off'...

GUILTY FL - Jordan Davis, 17, shot to death, Satellite Beach, 23 Nov 2012 #7

Right. There were several choices of degree of verdict there, and apparently they couldn't unanimously agree on all those options.

Yes, because whether certain defendants are locked up matters very much to me. Juries not only do compromise verdicts, they even do jury nullification verdicts sometimes. I'd of course weigh what I thought the next jury would probably do. But I'm scared of the mentality of some juries! I'd...

If I planned on not making a compromised verdict on one count (so a mistrial on it) but thought that he could have another chance at what we were unanimous on if no compromise, I'd change my mind. For me, though, I'd compromise anyway on that count. M2 is better than a later chance at NG...

No, there are several degrees they'd have to be unanimous on. Also, folks might think there's doubt that Jordan was 'scary' acting enough for it to conceivably be self-defense with him, but they know the other kids were literally just trying to get out of there. You can't shoot them. They...
