There was never any testimony or evidence that Casey "came home and found out her daughter was missing." Even Jose didn't claim that in his OS.
They just made up their own testimony and evidence, didn't they?
I had believed that JP was terrific all along but you make some really good points -- this case was absolutely lost during jury selection and he had a lot to do with the decisions that were made.
I live in the Orlando area and take what this jury did here quite personally. I hope that when...
It seems to me that the defense keeps trying to make hay out of two common-sense issues and I'm not sure the prosecution has sufficiently addressed them:
1) Casey being taken to the gynecologist. Yes, she was obviously pregnant. She denied being pregnant and the family went along with her lie...
Now that would be a fascinating book ... because they're both prone to lavishly embellishing their falsehoods so much, they would spend 2 to 3 pages describing how they made and ate pancakes for breakfast one day .... of course, the truth would be that they actually had cereal.
I don't know...
I missed her name but a female member of the defense team -- at least she kept referring to the defense team as "we" -- was on FOX this morning speculating that there is a mistrial due to the prosecution not turning over discovery on Kronk to the defense. And, of course, that would mean that...
Could someone explain this to me, please?
Can Baez put on experts on the psychological ramifications of sexual abuse WITHOUT first establishing that Casey has made these accusations?
If not, who are the possible sources for that testimony?
Thanks!
I'm not an Anthony fan but - for me - it speaks to a man who is in such agony in so many areas of his life that he needs something pro-active he can focus on.
With the story originating from Casey, LE had no choice but to research all possibilities ... no matter how unlikely.
If they hadn't run the tests, Baez would be accusing them of incompetence right now.
As will George.
Baez will put him on the stand and solicit what positives he can get and won't ask him a single word about molestation.
IMO, the Anthonys were not in cahoots with Baez at the start of the trial. Then the defense case started going south and the Anthonys were terrified of...
I missed Lee on the stand and I'm puzzled as to what that line of questioning had to do with the matter at hand? In what way is it relevant that he felt left out of Caylee's birth?
I understand that a lot of folks here believe he was sincere. I just can't believe any of the Anthonys anymore .....
Well, I'm confused. The defense's story is that Caylee accidentally drowned in the pool and George found her and got rid of her body.
Now Cindy is obviously attempting to give at least the accidental drowning part of the story some credibility.
So I'm guessing that because that's one part of...
I'm such a small, petty person -- there's a part of me that would love for the prosecution to stipulate to the jury that George Anthony sexually abused his daughter. Of course I understand that it would deter justice for Caylee so it's really nothing more than a disconnected fantasy.
It just...
You find your dog "sedated" and your first response is to look up the word "chlorophyll"?
If I were going to investigate the possibility that my dog's malaise could be caused by plant life, I can think of dozens and dozens of words I would search before I would get to "chlorophyll". It's a...
I don't think he'll admit to the molestation but he's sure as heck going to permit it to be thrown at him in order to save Casey. He'll just deny it so there is no legal repurcussion to him ... but if the jury buys it and it saves his precious daughter, that's fine with him.
I've always...
I can't decide if the Anthonys have been in with the defense since the start of the case .... which would explain how George sat there expressionless during Baez's hideous opening .... and that they've been able to hide their closeness to the defense over the past 5 weeks.
Or did they see the...
Even though I'm a central Florida resident, I'm woefully less informed than most of you folks so if I'm missing something, please straighten me out: I'm wondering why the prosecution even included those chloroform searches in the evidence when they had Cindy claiming to have looked the word up...
