SLM... I know that different LE jurisdictions will use different methods of marking out crime scenes, but I wonder if the feds are more homogenized. I guess I'm asking if we could obtain any kind of key to interpret the different colored flags and letters.
Until he clarifies, I'm assuming that Del took the photos from the beach (public right of way) and/or from above the property with a good lens.
If this clearing has been there and he just previously didn't have a good line of sight, I would bet that LE cleared it for forensic purposes.
What caught your attention on Thurs and Fri? Just the clearing?
If this is newly cleared, I highly doubt if the perp would do so. I don't think he's been within 25 miles of that property since she was found. It would be too stupid/risky. JMO.
That leaves either LE or perhaps a yard care...
I have always and still do think that CB was the crime scene from start to finish. If it was, it would make sense for them to be fished out of the river. Still incredibly stupid though.
It's possible, but that would be so incredibly stupid, especially when we consider the ground the perp likely covered that day. So easy to simply dig a hole and kick some dirt over them or throw them into the river anywhere along the 20 something mile stretch. Why put them in an area they could...
I actually agree, and if it's true that they DO have murder weapon(s), I believe it bolsters the thought that she was killed at CB by a panicked, disorganized person.
Errr... maybe I'm missing something, but how would LE have murder weapons if the murder scene is still unknown? I can't see a perp being stupid enough to leave them at CB if she was killed at CB, or up Pitcher C. So where would they obtain them?
Huh! Weird. Yeah, I can't say anything about it (TOU), but I'm aware of who you're talking about. Occam's razor makes the idea very compelling, doesn't it?
Yeah, that's the one I linked to. Wish we has better res on that. I have to say though that just based on the ridge and the shape of the farthest back mountains, this may very well be the CB property.
Crap, wow, puf.
The similarity is striking if you imagine it on a slightly different angle and from lower. Wish Del was here, he could tell in an instant.
Is that Mac in the boat? I have to assume this is a Cowell family photo?
Look at the first pic on the listing for comparison...
That was my first thought too. If it was CB I would think the second ridge back would be basalt cliffs, but not sure.
Sigh, anyone have a link or mls to the house? I'm so bad about bookmarking.
Great info!
The lot where the car was left was the lower one, with the mailboxes, right before the steep hill. The WW ran a pic in one of the articles. It's right where the pavement ends.
Most likely the car was parked at dusk, I've been up there around 6ish the week after she disappeared...
Haha, I think I don't know squat about orthodontic surgery. I would imagine though that in some cases it could be logical to wait depending on the severity of the problem.
I wonder if it makes a difference with the feds involved.
In any case, most of the details will become public and be on record when the trial occurs, since most likely post mortem forensics are going to figure heavily into the prosecution.
I think they probably left the shell casings behind because the COD was obvious and well established. They knew this wasn't a shooting. Also SG shell casings and brasses degrade extremely quickly and are (almost) as common as dirt in these parts. They could probably tell they were a bit old...
The biggest problem that I see with any scenario involving the car being parked legitimately, is that it is very obvious that where it was left is private property. There are numerous signs to that effect and no way to mistake it for easement or right of way. You have to actually pull into a...
