CA CA - Jennifer Wilmer, 21, Willow Creek, 13 Sept 1993

It's unfortunate that we don't have any real forensic evidence proving her death or the manner in which she died- that evidence would be invaluable to the investigation into her disappearance, especially when implicating if a serial killer(s) could have been involved as well. The only three...

New Search Warrants in Holly Bobo case 28 February 2014 #1

I know that the cases are incredibly different, but for some reason Holly's abduction does remind me of the Sharon Faye Smith abduction by Larry Gene Bell in a way. Sharon was abducted at the end of her driveway while she stepped out to get the mail, while Holly was abducted near her home as...

Please Offer Words of Support to Victims of Abuse at the Hands of Sandusky

I just want to say that although I will never understand what you all went through, I admire you all for being as brave as you were and sharing your stories. It takes a huge amount of courage that I will most likely never know. I think that you are all worthy, special, and important in every...

1/24/2014- 8 Years Later- Need answers

It's hard to even fathom the frustration that the Kesse family must feel- with all of the searches, teams, etc. and absolutely nothing. It's hard to believe that, after eight years, there have been no breakthroughs in her case. It's almost unbelievable. I can only hope as much as possible that...

    Cases That Haunt You

The St. Louis Jane Doe case is probably the most haunting case that I've ever come across. I agree that the victim was most likely murdered by parents, relatives, a friend or an acquaintance. I also think that she was from another state, possibly a foreign one, and that could account for the...

    MN - Jacob Wetterling, 11, St. Joseph, 22 Oct 1989 - #6

That makes sense, and it's true that the MO's are different. There seems to be a reason why the perpetrator wore a mask and dark clothing other than the fact that he was trying to hide his identity. Maybe he was insecure about his appearance or had low self-esteem.

Intruder theories only - RDI theories not allowed! *READ FIRST POST* #2

As a supporter of the intruder theory, I have always wondered about the ransom. Assuming that the intruder knew that the whole point of a ransom is to keep the victim alive (or, in some cases, the "illusion" that the victim is alive), why didn't he try to conceal the fact that JonBenet was dead...

    MN - Jacob Wetterling, 11, St. Joseph, 22 Oct 1989 - #6

You've made some good points, ELOCsoul. However, I don't think that one can assume completely that Jacob's case was isolated based on the perpetrator's choice of clothing alone. It makes it more likely that Jacob's case was isolated, but it doesn't completely eliminate the possibility that it...

Hopefully we'll be getting some new updates in the coming weeks.

Sorry, I meant to say *remains* because we don't exactly know if it is them or not.

How long do you think it will take the medical examiner to identify all three family members?

I don't know how most people end messages to their parents, but Abigail's last message to her father does seem kind of strange, at least to me. She says, "I love you very, very, very much and that you will always be my dad." I don't know why she words it the way she does or why she uses "very"...

If she took a ride from someone she knew, wouldn't her mom at least have an idea of who that might be?

MD MD - Upper Marlboro, WhtMale 15-20, UP4833, initials 'ELT' on jacket, Dec'73

This is a difficult case because we have so many details in certain areas but not enough in others. There is a good description of what he was wearing and where he lived but not much else. As it was stated above, there are no dental records, no DNA, no fingerprints, and nothing else that can be...

That's really interesting. Thanks for the information. I always thought it was just coincidence that boys with "J" names were in attempted abductions or had gone missing, but now I'm not so sure.

I think that's a good idea. Anything that could be done should be done to possibly and hopefully find her.

I don't want to be presumptuous but in my opinion Abby's disappearance has all of the indications of a stranger abduction. Abby was most likely alone while walking home from school and a stranger looking for an easy victim used her isolation to his advantage. Maybe this person found their...

    The Shoe Lace Bindings

Maybe the perpetrator took all of their clothes off for 1) easier transport and 2) so that no DNA would transfer. I initially thought that humiliation had something to do with it but humiliation would require consciousness--otherwise it defeats the purpose IMO. I personally believe the boys were...

    Timeline of Events

I think that's a really detailed, informative timeline. I know that there are still discrepancies but it does seem to cover mostly all of the key points. Going a little off-topic here and I apologize for doing so but I wonder why I've never seriously considered The Manhole Theory before. It...

    Timeline of Events

I did not say that they "always" leave physical evidence, but in this case, I do believe physical evidence was left. And such facts ARE meaningless...even if he did live there at the time of the murders, that does not make me believe that he actually committed them.
