In the Boston.com article Vear also said "It is possibly nothing more than somebody cut themselves shaving in the house". Who would have shaved in the basement? Justin hadn't looked like he had shaven in awhile when his photo was taken soon after Ayla was reported missing. JMO.

Horrible, isn't it? He admitted to doing this to his son and is out! Apparently someone put up the $10K for him. The prosecutor said that he should then have to pay for his lawyer if he can afford that, but the judge assigned him a public defender too.

DetectiveK - I see where you are coming from...but AFAIK, we have no info on PD's prior/current relationship status to speculate why her maiden name was used for kids names and/or whether her kids have the same dad.

That's what I found too - the stepchild part, I mean. Re: maiden name as the last name for PD's kids - I don't find it weird. TR did the same with Ayla.
