He may have been in too much of a rush to cut Meredith's hands off. As gruesome as it sounds, I would imagine that it is not an easy process and if he knew authorities were looking for him he may have done it quickly.

Also, if Hilton did kill the Bryant's and Levi, we can probably assume that his crimes were not sexually motivated and that Meredith was not sexually assaulted. I think that if it comes out that Meredith was, then we may need reevaluate his potential victims, unless he just randomly killed...

I agree. For some reason I had pictured Hilton as slow moving.. ill.. (from the MS reports) but he was lively in that video which really puts things into perspective. I thought that the ATM man in the bryant and Dunlap case looked like he had a younger man's build but Hilton has the same physique.
