Found Deceased WA - Cheryl DeBoer, 54, Mountlake Terrace, 8 February 2016 #5

Knowing very, very well one of those transient people who is a drug addict and lives in the Seattle area; I would have to say that the guy I know would sell a knife or trade it for cigarettes at the first opportunity he had. Heroin addicts I've known keep NOTHING of value because if it has...

Stryker, can you tell us if the book found in the car (per Pickard) was your mom's? Also, are you able to validate what Pickard stated; that her phone was definitely powered down vs. battery removed? I wish you could tell us what of our theories are baseless. We're all so frustrated along...

They've said he works at a construction company, but not the position he held or the name of the business.

An insider is someone that the Moderators have taken lengthy steps to ensure that they are, in fact, very close to the case. For instance, Stryker57 on here has been verified to be Cheryl DeBoer's son. Welcome!

He said it wasn't in an unlikely place, but that it had fallen and was then beneath some items of clothing.

I don't think lava meant "turning around" literally. Just that CD would have turned right onto 58th and gone through that neighborhood to start winding her way through the streets to get back home. To me that says that Cheryl suddenly realized "Crap! I forgot my badge again!" (didn't even...

I actually caught that vibe while reading/researching, so I dismissed her altogether. Welcome!!

I fully agree. I was reading a research article that mentioned that strangulation was the most common method of a certain type of homicide. I would imagine that it would be difficult to see bruises around the neck, and say definitively, that it was strangulation especially if the time of...

If the phone was completely destroyed to where there was no power available to the circuitry of the phone, then that would be interpreted by the cellular network (tower) as a hard shutdown, such as the battery being removed. That wasn't the case here, per Pickard, though.

Because even when your cell phone is turned off it is still active. Data is sent to the tower in the process of powering it down. Data to the tower is cut-off when the battery is pulled out of it. The only jewelry/accessories I have seen CD wearing was an occasional necklace. It doesn't...

MLTNews posted an update, which includes no new information a few hours ago. LE did comment on Monday (yesterday), though:

Why would LE mention it at all then? It would be apparent to them if it was very old and dried blood vs. recent. Also, why rush to work at all? Why leave items for dinner ready on the counter like Stryker mentioned? We know CL was brilliant, which is what little things like knowing you were...

I don't know how helpful this is, but it was stated somewhere that there was no activity on her ORCA card - so if she never took the bus why would she need an ORCA card? Plus, there were volunteers in South Lake Union where she would "normally get off of the bus" when she would take it. So, it...

This is perhaps, also, why Pickard said that the Public would understand why LE was holding back certain information. And also how he would have known to say that the Public is safe. Those two things lead me to think suicide again, but the how...? An EXTREME example would be that they...

Do you mean after she parked her car where it was found? That would explain the blood in the car, but there is no logical way a wounded woman could possibly have made it down an extremely busy couple of streets in that state with nobody noticing, and ending at the culvert. IMOO

I have never seen a picture of Cheryl or her husband wearing wedding rings. Pickard said that personal items were still missing, so I'm thinking that whatever they found that was "helpful" had more to do with the perp. Maybe tire tracks in that pull-off next to the Welcome To MLT sign? Do...

This is exactly, to a tee, what I believe, and will until more evidence is released. Based on everything that's been said it just makes sense to me, as well as some of my own observations. My only pause is that it would mean that somewhere is a vehicle that most likely has Cheryl's DNA...

I wanted to see exactly how LE (Pickard) phrased this, so I found the video (taken after volunteers/family found her.) This is what he says exactly: Reporter: "But it's safe in the meantime around here?" Pickard: "Yes. It's safe." Source I surely still don't feel like it's "safe" until LE...
