Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

In the last photo, assuming the camera is on the floor in the same spot as the previous photo taken 76 seconds earlier, TA is at least one tile closer to the bedroom, correct? Why would he be closer to the bedroom in that last photo? It seems like he may not have reached the carpet area yet...

Yes, I think you have the right tile. Also, I'm in the right foot camp as well now. I am thinking the first bleeding photo might've been snapped when JA dropped the camera.

I think the last bleeding photo also suggests that JA has not slashed TA's neck yet. I believe the neck slash cut nearly to TA's spine, correct? In that case, I don't think TA would've had any muscles in his neck to support his head on his own. If TA's neck was slashed, I think we would've...

I could be wrong, but I think wilsodh posted a photo recently that highlighted a tile about three tiles away from the bedroom that had the same pattern. It was one of the pictures demonstrating where JA's other foot might've been.

If the camera is on the ground, then TA must be closer to the bedroom in the last photo than he was in the previous photo (taken 76 seconds before). I believe the tile pattern clearly demonstrates that TA's head is oriented toward the bedroom in the first bleeding photo. The light is emanating...

Unfortunately it looks like the same tile pattern may be on more than one tile, so it is very difficult to determine where TA is exactly in the hallway.

Yes, i knew that was true, but I've seen a lot of confusion about this. Is there any place we observers can view the original photos and the enhanced photos? Or are we stuck viewing captures of the photos that were shown in court?

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

If the camera really was on the floor, which I'm not sure I believe, then TA moved (or was pulled by JA) on his back toward the bedroom/carpet area in the 76 seconds between the last two photos. The camera has spun 45-90 degrees to the right between the photos and TA has moved about two tile...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

Yes, I think that is true. I believe there were two deep incisions to TA's shoulder/neck area that are the source of the blood in the photo (perhaps in addition to the gunshot wound). TA later twists over and flops to the edge of the carpet before JA delivers the neck slash as the final blow...

Awesome, thanks Dave. Even though it makes sense to me that it's her left foot in the photo based on some part of her having to trigger the camera in that photo, I can be convinced otherwise if the camera truly could've snapped such a photo from the ground as a delayed reaction to JA bumping...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

Yes, it does look like that marbling in the crime scene photo is the same marbling shown in the first bleeding photo. The location of JA's foot, whether right or left, is off just a little bit in the sketch on the crime scene photo because the bleeding photo shows her foot is on the other...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

What makes you think that? If that's her right foot, which body part of JA bumped the camera (assuming it is laying in the ground) to cause the camera button to activate?

See post #1835 for proof that a gunshot wound through the frontal lobe is the least likely of all gunshot wounds to be immediately incapacitating.

Knife firsters often assert that gun-firsters have no basis for challenging the ME's testimony and autopsy report because, for example, gun-firsters are not medical examiners who have reviewed TA's body for themselves. In fact, some knife-firsters have even gone so far as to hurl insults at...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

That's the theory advanced by the prosecution. In fact, detective Flores demonstrated how the camera button could be activated if the camera was lying upside down and bumped. However, the angles in the last two photos do not appear to be consistent with each other, much less with the camera...

Here we go again . . . I believe the ME leaves open the possibility that the gunshot wound came first. I was going to point you to a post I made a few days ago that addresses this issue, as well as the commentary that followed, but then I discovered that the mods have deleted my original...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

Some more thoughts on the photos . . . As many gun-firsters have noted, the last known position of TA in the shower, captured at 5:30:30, fits the known bullet trajectory from right to left and downwards across TA's face based on a surprise gunshot fired from JA's left hand from outside the...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

Detective Flores wrote in his report that the last two photos were taken upside down. But I still think JA was holding the camera in her right hand. It was just that her hand was off to the side such that the camera was oriented that way. It's easy to see how her right arm could've been...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

I think we're looking at a side view of TA's back. He is laying in roughly the same position as in the previous photo, which was snapped 76 seconds earlier. In other words, he hasn't moved much at all in the 76 seconds between the photos. Although we can't see TA's head in the photo, I...

Jodi Arias; the sequence of events

Yes, there should be some way to tell from the crime scene photos exactly where TA is positioned on the tile and which way his head is facing. I wish we had more crime scene analysis on this issue. The blood spatter expert testified that drops of blood could have been cast off on the wall...
