I just want to say I've been following from the beginning, though I haven't posted on this thread, and say thank's to you all for all the updates and info. So glad these two are locked up! Thank's for posting the mugshots, LOL! I'd like to smack that smirk off LLB's face. Hope more charges...

Exactly! If there had been a murder all the evidence the Coroner needed would have already been turned over. I think LE is stalling and it's making them look worse each day.

Simply amazing this hasn't been turned over! WTH is going on with this task force?

I too think in large part the motive was financial and maybe he was depressed facing retirement and not getting the position for Chief. I wonder if he had applied for any other positions recently? I haven't seen or heard anything that indicates a terminal illness.

I think the same. I think he saw these three and used them for his cover story. I doubt he had any racial motivation. He had to have seen them since the three "suspects" were found and cleared.

IL - Lt. Charles 'Joe' Gliniewicz, 52, found dead, Fox Lake, 1 Sep 2015 - #2

I think Lt.Gliniewicz saw the three men who were cleared that morning and incorporated them into his cover story. He may have believed that if found they'd be cleared. Maybe part of his plan if he had a plan was to give a vague description of someone(s) suspicious, he saw these three guys...

I think if this was a murder we'd be seeing something totally different by now. I think it will be ruled either suicide or inconclusive, though with suicide out in the open, I kinda get the feeling the public is being prepared to hear that this was self-inflicted/suicide.

No, it has not been confirmed, but the possibility is now in MSM coming out saying the word instead of dancing around it. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/09/15/authorities-investigating-possibility-suicide-in-shooting-death-ill-police/

Yup, I remember thinking how I wished you hadn't posted that, but as much as I didn't like it, it made all too horrible sense at the same time. I remember thinking the description of the suspects just sounded off, that it sounded strange that Lt.Gliniewicz asked the Mayor for reassurance that...

This case is just awful no matter whether it was suicide or murder. I wish for his families sake there was no chance of this being a suicide. To me everything we've heard so far leads to suicide though, and I'll bet there's more than a few LE privately and maybe not so privately thinking the...

I know you didn't ask me, but I think it was suicide, and there are others here that do too.

I don't think he's mentally ill, but I do think he was drunk and angry!
