Un-intended blessings.
I'm not wholly sure that this is the appropriate forum for this post, but it seemed the least in-appropriate.
I would just like to thank and encourage everyone here for the...
Local families of the missing are submitting DNA samples -- four so far. With any luck, some of those will pan out.
Nothing really new in the local news otherwise.
I think Rene is from too far away to be realistic.
I've gotten in touch with a volunteer who does cold case research for the Marin Co. coroner - haven't heard back yet.
I really hope we can get somewhere on this one - this little guy's face keeps popping up in my dreams.
The site where she was found is not readily accessible from any major interstate highway. Baltimore Blvd. does appear to be a major local road, though.
This would suggest that whoever left the body is local. Confounding factor: the location is behind a manufacturing company which may ship...
I had to look it up to be sure, but here's another point for James I. -- our Juan has expressed an interest in things Celtic and Scottish. James I. is from Midlothian, TX, which is named after Midlothian, Scotland.
I saw a new/different news article about Juan Doe - http://www.redrocknews.com/News/who-is-this-man.html
It mentions you, Dream, and I'd like to confirm one of the details that the article mentions - does Juan Doe actually believe his real first name to be Juan? I had been assuming that...
Juana Drerup is on my list - I haven't been able to rule her in or out yet. I'm going to tweak my search a little bit tonight - swop over to a different engine that updates the SSDI database more regularly, and take advantage of the wildcard -- Juana might be a Juanita.
Confounding factor -...
I've ruled out two of my 13 possible Juanas. More might be able to be ruled out through checking obits. on Legacy.com, however, they charge an archive fee to view full listings, and I haven't exhausted other search avenues yet. If anyone has corporate access though, and would like my list...
I've found 13 possible Juanas in the SSDI, all in Texas. There were none in OK fitting my starting criteria, and in New Mexico I widened my search span and went back to 2000. I still found only one possible Juana in NM, and was able to rule her out after a little google work.
I'll start...
I'll start searching the SSDI for possible Juanas.
Search criteria:
Juana
Texas
New Mexico
Oklahoma
born 1950-1970
died 2008 or 2009
possibly died in may or june
I've managed to dig up the name of a coroner's investigator in Marin Co. that I will write to about this little boy. I'd like to find out if the case is still on anyone's desk (even at the bottom of the back burner pile) or if it is just forgotten about.
Also, re: the atm withdrawal - she didn't any money, atm card etc on her when she was found. As a young runaway she would have been particularly vulnerable to theft and assault, and may not have been responsible for the atm activity.
I don't think Kacie was faking anything. Some of the news reports are saying that this kind of thing has happened to her before - disappearing, and turning up dazed, confused and with little to no memory of what happened.
Dollars to doughnuts that she has undiagnosed epilepsy. There's a type...
I've done a little poking around, and the Mill Valley community is pretty wealthy small town, so I think it likely that the news coverage at the time would have been pretty decent. I'll see what I can find out about microfiche availability through the libraries in the region. If the...
I don't think it's dyed or bleached - no roots showing, no change in root color between the older and newer pictures.
It may have been dyed before it was cut so short - possibly cut to help conceal her identity?
Jeffery Dean Blankinship I could see -- the little boy in Bucharest I don't think is a realistic possibility. Romania under Ceausescu was a pretty horrid place -- between travel controls and the social climate I just can't see a little boy taken out of the country.
I wish I knew more about...
