Is it possible her disappearance had something to do with her work? Sure.
But I just don't believe it is. S.P.I.K.E. (Special People in Kildonan East) has operated for decades. I volunteered with them a bit as a teen in the late 1980s.
I'm sure they were investigated as part of the Krull case...
Majority of people who work get paid vacation time - at least 2 weeks. Often taken in the summer when the kids are off school. My street is always busy in the summer with kids out on bikes and mothers of babies out for walks vs in the winter. My point was just because it was a weekday doesn't...
I find this case heartbreaking and fascinating.
When does school let out for summer break in Nebraska? I would think on a beautiful summer day in June with school being out there would be many people outside on a Wednesday - parents taking kids to the park, people doing yard work, people on...
I live on the Canadian Prairies about a hour north of North Dakota. So lets say that we get darn cold winter here. I'm sure much colder than Colorado. Heck we are know to have cold spells of -40 F.
In my 50 years I have never worn long johns to bed or seen or heard of anyone that does. People...
I think you would find that a Canadian from the Prairies would sound very much like someone from North Dakota or Minnesota. Personally I don't think we have accents at all. I've traveled in the USA extensively and never noticed any kind of distinct between most northern states and us.
The sub shop in the sketchier part of Henderson is a Subway. It's in the 200 block on the east side. Mr Sub is waayyyy further north on Henderson.
I actually grew up in North Kildonan just off Henderson about 2 miles north of the Krull's Mr Sub shop. Forty years later my mother stills live...
Ok I thought you were directing me to something to do with NE Winnipeg on Crimestat. My apologies.
I guess having someone say that my neighbourhood is some low income crime ridden area got my back up. I just happen to grow up in the area that Thelma lived and worked in which makes this case...
I have. Since you aren't that familiar with this end of the city ensure you are selecting Rossmere. If you go under the Electoral Wards you have EK lumped in with Elmwood which skews the results.Checked Rossmere A and B for August and there were a few home break ins and attempted car thefts. Is...
Actually Jason Michalysen who is the WPS Public Information Officer (the good looking dude you see almost nightly reading the police reports :) grew up with me in NK and I do believe lives still in the area.
Would WPS officers prefer Windsor Park, Garden City or St James for some bizarre logic...
Actually it's the City of Winnipeg not a town.
I've lived here for 40+ years most of them within a few miles of the Mr Sub shop the Krulls owned. I have never heard it described as anything but middle class. Elmwood which is about 5-6 km south is sketchy on the East side of the highway yes.
The...
Not sure if this link to Google Maps works or not. It shows the strip mall where Mr Sub (not Subway is). The restaurant is behind Dairy Queen next to the library. And look there's very little traffic! LOL...
You're thinking of the Subway in Elmwood. It's just past MBCI on the west side. Just before Johnson. That is a block away from Talbot. And yes that is a low income area. It's Elmwood.
The Redwood Bridge is MILES south of the Mr Sub that the Krulls owned.. Nowhere near walking distance. The...
From perhaps south of Munroe to the Disraeli on the East side is more of the sketchy type agree. Not from McLeod to Munroe. That is solidly middle class. Tons of nice homes on Kimberley and Munroe for example. But of course if you go further east around Watt it gets sketchy.
Anyhow my whole...
