Agree that was strange, the sheriff's department must have been very familiar with the family given Clarence's conviction, this protection order, and the various scraps they'd get into from time to time. Gives rise to speculation that the family may have been cooperating with LE which might lead...
Wild speculation of course, but if the victim of the sexual battery in the late 1990s were a child, then they had to wait to grow up to get vengeance ... and since the old man died in the meantime, why not take out the family instead? Another possibility is that the sexual battery resulted in an...
He was in his late 50s when he was sentenced to ten years in prison for sexual battery (five counts) ... that made me think the victim could have been a child (and not an adult who would be in a better position to resist). Is there any public (online) documentation about the charges and his...
I think that's right ... discounting the power of suggestion, that's what I hear now too. Can you make out what the soft (child's?) voice says at the very end? Two words?
Clarence Rhoden's prison admission date was 4/7/1998 for sexual battery, just over 18 years ago. I don't know the age of his victim or when exactly the crime was committed, but that might give someone a motive to wipe out the entire family ... a revenge killing long in the making? Not sure if...

I listened with headphones too ... I don't hear "please don't hurt me" ... she's talking to the child, says something to the child, and he says something in return, but I don't think it's "good job."

Yeah, I don't think they'd leave a dead dog lying in the sun like that ... you can see another big black dog walking in his circle in another of the photos ... I don't think the killers also killed the dogs (some kind of code about sparing the children and animals).
Maybe he intentionally built the big long barn on the neighbors land because it housed the pot growing operation, and if busted, he could say, hey, I don't know anything about it, it's not even on my land. Kind of ridiculous, but you never know what people are thinking.
Oh duh, sorry, it's late, I should go to bed, I can see the map clearly now. That long barn is on Everett Farmer's land for sure. That's a real head scratcher. I'll check back in the morning when I'm fresh. My apologies, danya769.
The bit outlined in blue on my map is the 0.35 acre parcel ... the adjoining ones to the left are all owned by CRsr et al ... I don't know how to do the aerial view overlay you did there, but if you dragged your map a bit to the right, all those parcels would be revealed, and the big long barn...
