Me too! Hopefully we won't be kept in the dark. I'm too nosey for that!

    GUILTY TX - Zuzu Verk, 22, Alpine, 12 Oct 2016 #3 *Arrests*

I was just coming here to post that. I'm just down the road from the jail today and it took everything I had not to hang out in front today and see who was coming and going. Not that I could have learned anything...

    GUILTY TX - Zuzu Verk, 22, Alpine, 12 Oct 2016 #3 *Arrests*

The Presidio County jail is in Marfa--the county seat. It's only 26 miles. Hopefully, everyone will decide that's STILL too far.

She used to be the Federal Public Defender and she retired from that job, but not entirely from law apparently. And if she's doing it pro bono, I'm betting it's for the thrill/rush of being in on a big case. I doubt that's something that's easy to walk away from.

It's a cash surety bond but I'm hoping they still won't be able to come up with the $50,000 for their portion.

Definitely sickening. And she's a good lawyer too ( I don't have personal experience, but a class I was in went to one of her trials and I've always heard that she's bulldog for her clients). At least since she's good at her job, once RF is convicted he can't appeal on the basis of poor counsel...

They wouldn't have driven past this exact spot, but they would have driven past the entrance to Sunny Glen ob their way to Marfa where they would have turned off to go to Presidio and across to Mexico.

There was a phone call with the sheriff on the CBS 7 Facebook page and I think he said there were bones and stuff scattered about like the body had been dug up by animals. So it's sounding like the didn't just blindly stumble over the grave, but saw the scattered bones. Perhaps they found the...

Since a Border Patrol agent was repairing some of their equipment when he found the body, it would be a good distance from the houses. It was likely motion-detection equipment that alerts BP to people (usually people coming into the US) crossing remote areas. It would be interesting to see if it...

Me too, Chevysgirl. I'm sitting in the doctor's office and it's literally the only thing people are talking about. Patients, nurses, everyone.

I'm in Alpine today and scuddlebutt around town is leaning towards it being her. I just left lunch and overheard two people discussing that there was enough left of the body/items on the body that LEO knows, but have to have a medical confirmation. Not stating this as truth, just what I heard...

Yeah, there could be people missing that haven't been reported. Alpine's not as bad as further south in the county, but some people come out here when they want to disappear so it could be someone that no one knows to be looking for. Not sure which I would rather it be. Alpine PD is helping...

It is. It's like a ranching subdivision. Nice houses, land for horses, pretty expensive. Also, if I remember correctly (it's been a couple of years since our friends out there moved away), some trails in the non-developed area for ATV, horse rides, stuff like that. I would have assumed they...

Zuzu's parents just got work she was accepted to Texas A&M. If she just could have stayed away from RF for a few months she'd be starting a new life across the state and out of his life. http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/FIND-ZUZU-Missing-Sul-Ross-student-accepted-to-Texas-AM---410599465.html

CE seems to be enjoying his 15 minutes of fame just a little too much. It's unsettling how he's so willing to appear on camera and talk about Zuzu. I think he definitely knows something, but thinks he's smart/charming enough to throw everyone off the trail and get off.

Sorry! My writing wasn't super clear. Our little girls is just a few months old, and celebrated Christmas for the first time last week.

Zuzu'z mom pleading with RF to tell them what he knows. I can't even begin to imagine her pain. My husband and I just had our first Christmas with our daughter and I can't help but think about how Zuzu's family would have given anything to have Christmas morning with her...
