First I hear of this ..."a phone belonging to Townsend was found underneath the driver's side of the victim's SUV"

MISTRIAL MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #16

I can hardly keep up. Between this and my present work deadline, my head is spinning. This trial has been one heck of a ride, and not in a good way.

GUILTY CA - Mark & Jacob Iskander, 11 and 9, Killed by Drunk Socialite Rebecca Grossman in Veh vs Ped Hit & Run - Los Angeles, 2020 *GUILTY on all counts*

How tragic for a rich privileged tone deaf socialite somebody to become a felon nobody. Not. Deserved.

VERDICT WATCH MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #15

Caught up. Wow ! I was afraid of this, nearly kind of expected this yesterday. I was so sure before it would be a NG verdict before deliberations, in less than 2 days. It's reminded me now of another trial a while back, but I cannot remember which one. The holdout for guilty spoke out after the...

VERDICT WATCH MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #14

But an iPhone is not worn, so if it was thrown it would not register steps.

snipped for focus. That's what we said yesterday lol. If no verdict tomorrow, can we say they're sleeping on it for 2 days?

VERDICT WATCH MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #14

Well heck, tomorrow is Friday. If the jury does not come to a verdict before the weekend, then I think there's some contention and disagreement in there, a holdout or two. Just my feeling.

VERDICT WATCH MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #14

Rather than the phone being taken back out by someone, would the phone register steps if it was thrown out from the door/porch? I don't think so.

Greece American tourist a retired cop, 59, not returned from a solo hike, Amorgos Island, 11 June 24

What perplexes me is that other than an article in the LA Times a while back is that there is no mention of Eric Calibet missing in our South Bay local news nor in the Hermosa Patch paper. Nothing. Given he is a resident of Hermosa Beach, a smallish community, and still works part time in LE...

VERDICT WATCH MA - Professor Karen Read, 43, charged with murdering police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with car, Canton, 14 Apr 2023 #14

Yes. And reading the verdict and polling each juror does take time. The juror needed to leave. We will see tomorrow, if there's no verdict in the morning and deliberations go on into the next day....then there will be concern.

TN TN - Summer Moon-Utah Wells Missing from Rogersville, June 2021 #34

Iirc, there was a little used door leading outside from that little room under the house. (The room accessed from a steep stairway under a counter area.) I think when that door was discussed, it was postulated that Summer perhaps went out through that door. That morphed into maybe she went down...

Spain Jay Slater, 19, missing on holiday in Tenerife, 17 June 2024

The Barranco de Juan Lopez trail; Stunning landscape. As the video progresses, it's a tough and dangerous trail. If Jay took this and got lost up there, it's really not good. Very difficult and rugged area to search. (video starts fuzzy, but very sharp thereafter)

UT - Mia Bailey, 28, kills parents and tries to kill brother - June 18, 2024

For Pete's sakes. If there was tension in the family regarding her transition, then move away ! Leave and live your life elsewhere. She is 28 years old ! Just leave. So now she will be in prison for the rest of her life, with no freedom at all. Horrible and senseless.

GUILTY CA - Mark & Jacob Iskander, 11 and 9, Killed by Drunk Socialite Rebecca Grossman in Veh vs Ped Hit & Run - Los Angeles, 2020 *GUILTY on all counts*

^ "Special Needs".....so that doesn't mean she gets special perks? Better not ! Will she share a cell with a roommate, or not because of her "special needs". I'd prefer this woman to be in the general population, drama or not. Let her be put in her place by the little people felons !

Greece American tourist a retired cop, 59, not returned from a solo hike, Amorgos Island, 11 June 24

bbm, & snipped for focus. He is from Hermosa Beach, reported earlier. I noticed because I live in the same area...5 miles away or so. Hermosa Beach is a beach community. We don't have the extreme dry heat you'd have inland. Likely most of what he dealt with were water and (cliff rescues where I...

TX- Jocelyn Nungaray,12 strangled, left under bridge. Houston June 17, 2024

Or even in the US. They need to investigate where these guys have been prior to living in that apartment location, and whether any unsolved predatory crimes have occurred where they were or travelled. Much like in the Rachel Morin case.

TX- Jocelyn Nungaray,12 strangled, left under bridge. Houston June 17, 2024

Should never have happened. Jocelyn just wanted a soda. WTH were these monsters thinking? CCTV everywhere, of course they'd be identified and apprehended. And there was evidence in their apartment. 21 and 26, their lives are over, prison for life. Poor sweet child, she should be home with her...
