Makes you wonder why none of those (unnamed) "experts" who spoke to the Guardian were asked to appear on behalf of the defence... Perhaps they could form their own group, Clinicians and Neonatologists for Lucy Letby Truth. I mean, they have to be taken seriously because they are 'professionals'...
Well, one of the 'armchair experts' popping up in newspapers and on radio, insisting LL "might be innocent" for reasons he can't elaborate in any sensible or logical way, is one Peter Hitchens.
He is the same 'armchair expert" who believes that Assad's numerous chemical weapon attacks were some...
Indeed. I've often thought about this incident. I don't believe for one second it was anything other than LL watching the results of her deliberate sabotage and deriving macabre satisfaction from it. Any other nurse would be frantically checking equipment, or raising the alarm.
It isn't mentioned in the article of course, but I wonder if the DM were aware a nurse had been "moved" from the unit 12 months earlier. I would guess yes.
Wow. Apparently she received a "cryptic text" from another nurse hinting that "a familiar face" will soon be in the news. This suggests that there were whispers that the police were close to arresting Letby. Obviously, if this was the case, I'm sure the same nurse friend of Letby would have...
It does not surprise me at all that Dewi Evans has suspicions about other incidents pre-June 2015. I'm sure the police do as well given the scope of their investigation, and of course, here at WS, we fear there was probably an escalation period before her first murder.
Nope.
There are, however, some crazies online who spread all sorts of misformation that her trial was "unsafe". When you drill them for specifics, they can't provide them, except to advance conspiracy theories.
Oh, and if you ever get into an "debate" with them, you quickly find out they...
There was an infamous case in the USA (naturally) where a convicted rapist/killer made an outrageous accusation about the father of the victim, who was present in court at the time... Richard Allen Davis - Wikipedia
Indeed. The worry is Letby started using the "air technique" a couple of weeks after learning about the dangers of it during a course. Was she using other techniques before then? Hopefully, the ongoing investigation can shine a light.
There is a similar phenomenon where every single killer/serial killer "had evil/scary eyes" according to people who were familiar to them - although they never mentioned any such facial feature before it was known they were a killer/serial killer. :D
To think it was a week ago (bar a few hours) that LL was found GUILTY on seven charges of murder, and seven charges of attempted murder.
As expected, many questions remains, and sadly, I fear there is a lot more to investigate.
The hospital was supposed to have launched an investigation in June 2015, but for some reason, that never happened. The proposed investigation was referred to in text messages between LL and a colleague.
