Thanks. I know it will be a huge relief for my wife for the jury to return a guilty verdict. Her birthday is tomorrow and she, along with the other teachers at Parkview Elementary, will never forget that awful morning. She keeps a picture of Sheri, Garrett and Gavin on her desk.
It's been awhile since I have posted here, but my wife is a teacher in Columbia and had Garrett in class. We can't wait to hear that the jury has found CC GUILTY!
Yes, I first posted that back in early May. The boys told their teachers that their trip was canceled because SC was concerned about them missing school.
The one juror may cause a mistrial, but it wouldn't help him for long. In Kirkwood, MO the killer of a Kirkwood police officer had his first trial end in mistrial. They got him with the next one and he is now on death row.
Their trip to Disney in FL was supposed to be the week after the murders took place. They were murdered on May 5, so that would be the week of May 10 they were supposed to be on vacation.
Wow, I've been gone for awhile and everything has changed! I like the new layout!
Wrinkles,
I asked my wife this morning and she said she did not see anyone collecting money at the visitation. There was no service, just a walk through, the caskets were closed.
I agree with that. I can see original research being conducted by scientists, however there is no need to conduct the same experiment over and over again once the research has been done. The kids could just study pictures and the findings of the original research. In my class, we had to use a...
I agree. Southernillinoisman posted the quote above last night. It seems to me that JMM didn't have a no-divorce policy in all cases, but in CC's case, he would have been fired if he divorced SC.
Hearsay - Evidence not proceeding from the personal knowledge of the witness.
Since it was not the witnesses giving their personal testimony at the hearing, then yes, it would fall under this definition, however since the witnesses have signed a statement which gives their account and this is...
Your use of hearsay makes it seem like Chief Edwards just gave a statement of what he heard from the ladies at the beauty salon, like it's all gossip and rumors. Edwards and the SA just gave a brief summary of the evidence they have. He read what his witnesses have said they will testify to in...
Chief Edwards was relaying sworn testimony..big difference between that and just saying "Someone told me this."
What happens when one of the witnesses gives a conflicting testimony in court? The attorney brings up the same testimony Edwards has and asks them why they have now changed their...
