Finally found and watched the Final Witness episode with MAS. I had no idea she was featured so prominently in it. Is this link allowed? Was not easy to find. This is the only one I could find after looking for a pretty long time. http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/YWWI1NUFME0 (I tried to...

Astro, your insight is quite priceless and means a lot to a lot of people following this. I must say, I was one of the those initially suspecting there was a third party or more involved in the heinous act and it's good to see so many now adopting that possibility, even as much as it was...

Been a while, gang. I forgot my logon/pw/email used but have been lurking regularly and checking up. Like everyone, so glad to see some significant progress in this haunting case. Wondering about motive. Was Speaks in the NO area circa 2005-2006 or did he come into the picture later? I...

I'm so glad to see SOME movement in the case. So frustrating, even for just a removed observer such as I. I still wonder if a third party was involved in the murder, a third party with enough power to keep MAS and TS from talking? In that scenario, TS/MAS were tasked to provide entertainment...

Seriously, how long does it take to run lab tests? SO frustrating. The only thing I can imagine that could explain the length of time is maybe it is more complex than just TS and MAS and it is taking a while for police to ensure they nail all involved, especially some kind of big wig.

So if that was the case, whoever was involved would have been very familiar with the area and the pier. Early on didn't someone state that MAS had a relative with a house or camp in the area?

Been a while since I've posted but still following and hoping the cops nail all those responsible. This has become my best guess scenario as well. I can't imagine that they left the club knowing they were on video and still planning to kill her. My next guess would be that the offer to Jaren...

Every source of knowledge has confirmed it is him in the video. I cannot fathom how you are still "unconvinced."

That's a good point; however, money was likely pretty tight for her/them, so it could have been that she couldn't afford to miss work however she felt and maybe was able to take something (substance wise) to get through work albeit still looking bad. (btw, you're from TD, right? Me too)

I think yours is among the most probable. Other twists: En route, either in the car or maybe stopped somewhere, JL asks about the party and they then tell her it was a ruse and they really just wanted to party and hang out (in the biblical sense), JL is pissed because of the lie, leaving...

A poster who knows her said earlier (here) that is how she usually acts when she's trying to get out of ****, trouble, etc. This.

Considering he was a felony fugitive, I can't imagine he would have. Normally, I'd say maybe arrogance or even using that exact question as a defense (why would I openly recruit a girl on camera and acquaintances that I was planning on killing?), but as a fugitive, he'd have to know that he...

IMO, a big part of that is also Bourbon St./Nola vs. Lafayette. Something happening to the former gets less attention than the latter. Plus, a missing case vs. a confirmed death case. Anyway, personally, I have become strangely much more inspired/fixated about JL's case than with Mickey's...

That and also perhaps they have more sophisticated equipment for analyzing evidence? More reliable and/or faster turnaround time?

Apologize in advance, slow start this a.m., but what connection? Addie was killed by her boyfriend who committed suicide thereafter. It does not appear that TS was living in the area until many years later. I guess I am missing something but this appears to be a red herring.

Welcome. Seems that a lot of posters here have lost someone to violence or know someone closely who has. I just joined last week but already like the site and the people involved. One of the great things about the site is the brainstorming/theorizing that goes on. One potentially not so...

How sublime and bittersweet it would be for her murder to be solved, at least in part, by the anguished words of her brother, maybe even made without thinking about it...

True. It was just sensory and emotional overload at that point. A survival mechanism. We were uptown a few months after. Very few places open, street lights not working, mayhem. NO flooded and water sat for days festering; MS/St. Bernard/Plaquemines got leveled. Tammany got broken. Jefferson...
