Why would the attorney have to be on the hook for all the legal help, PI's, admin support,phone bills, etc, etc.? he may provide his services for free but should he have to pay his staff and contractors too?

MOM was slicker than snot at the bond hearing and I feared you were going to start comparing him to Mother Teresa.

That is the way some law firms in my area work. The firm works for the client as opposed to one lawyer.

Uhrig said that last Thursday, he and Sonner helped George Zimmerman's father, Robert Zimmerman, set up a website to solicit donations for George's legal defense and living expenses. They said that they had not been able to reach Zimmerman on Sunday, the day before the site was to go live. The site's address, *******************.com, had been made available to news outlets.

"On Sunday we lost track of George in that he wouldn't return our phone calls, and we couldn't get hold of him," Uhrig said. "We had no reason at that time to believe that it was anything suspect."

But Zimmerman set up another website that was different from the one set up by his attorneys and his father.

"On Monday we began fielding questions ... 'Did we know anything about [********************.com] website?' And our initial response was, 'Well, that's probably bogus, we don't know anything about that.' And we started making inquiries and, frankly, confirmed that he, through friends or family, had in fact set that site up and it was legitimate. We immediately began telling the media, disregard the earlier website we gave you that we had set up. Go for the one we now know that he set up."

There's two web sites though one of them may not have ever gone live.

Plus, the other day I posted a link to Frank Taaffe on Jane Velez-Mitchell the evening of the bond hearing saying he had a website that he was merging with George's and there was enough money for the bond in those accounts.

My computer is crashing when I try to get to the CNN video of that interview so I can't get the link to it right now.

IMO, JMO, etc. since I don't have both links.

I have a problem with this. Just how do you prepare for a bond hearing if you don't know your client's financial status? That is the problem I have. If you are going to affirm to the court that your client is of no means you had better know that to be true.

So either Goerge lied, or MOM didn't do his homework. The result being what was attested to in court was just wrong. Because MOM is not saying the money wasn't there on Friday, only that he didn't know about it.

Since GZ's brother was running the website, while GZ was in hiding, I'd bet my next mortgage payment, the brother had access to everything. :moo::moo:

My point is that he most likely had no idea he had money. I would imagine most came in after he was arrested.With so much hatred for him out there I really do not think he expected to have over 200k donated.Most likely the money could not be touched until his lawyer took control of it.JMO

he's a lawyer, and by definition, not a saint.

I'm comparing him only to ... well ... we've seen worse.

now for the important question: which is slicker? snot or owl****?
 
Weren't all the experts in the FCA case for the defense paid by the state b/c she was declared indigent ? And didn't Baez claim that that was where the 200,000 went to ?
I actually believe it went to Baez's new suit a day during the trial, but that's just me :D
 
$200K? The Zimmerman family is looking very dishonest at this point. JMO MOO IMO

It refers to the defendant in the last sensational trial in Florida. Most people refuse to use her name...she left her daughter to rot in a swamp.

refers to Casey Anthony.

The F is to distinguish her from Cindy Anthony - her mother and Caylee Anthony, her daughter.

The F stands for ... whatever you want it to stand for, I guess.

She was ICA for a few years. The I = incarcerated. Or ... whatever you wanted it to stand for.
