Any thoughts on why Agent Savage kept asking GA what happened two years ago? It's like Savage either had the answer or two years ago is the pinpoint as to when things started to go really wrong. Even though Caylee was almost three, she was technically two. Did it have to do with Caylee's birth? His question has always stayed with me.

I think that's just when she got out of control. stealing heavy and stuff

True, but some of the lies are so elaborate and seem to have no purpose. For instance, Casey's entire fake relationship with Jeff H. Week after week he was supposed to meet with Cindy and George. Cindy prepared meals for him. Always at the last minute he was unable to come, and eventually he moved away to Jacksonville. What was that all about?

Image.
The way she wanted to be perceived.
She has always worked at projecting an image.
Both before and after Caylee.

After she could either be the real Casey:

Confused, unhappy, full of regret, with no plan for her future and feeling trapped by an overbearing mother and now the weight of responsibilty that comes with a toddler.

Or she could tell everyone:

I have a great job that I absolutely love.
I have a nanny that takes wonderful care of my beautiful child.
I am going to school to make an even better future for myself and my child.
I have a great guy, with a great job, who bought me a ring. He just adores us both.
I am going to be a home owner soon.
Everything is just like I always hoped it would be.

The only person Casey may hate more than Cindy is herself. If she had a shred of human empathy about her you could almost feel bad for her, and the bad decisions made in youth. Almost.

Oops....I see in the interview with Cindy's co-worker that Casey had a pretend job with Sports Authority, not with Footlocker. It's so hard to remember exactly where she didn't work.

It's amazing what lies Casey told over such a long period of time! She lied about everything - wonderful Jeff, with the deceased wife and pretend child, who she didn't actually work with, was so concerned about her safety that he often carpooled with her so she didn't have to be alone. It's no wonder George and Cindy are struggling to sort out the truth from the fiction. It's like they were brainwashed. How does a person accept that the last 3 years of their life has been nothing but a lie?

What she chose to believe were outragous lies that nobody normal would believe!! Even her co-workers said they couldn't believe she believed the things she would tell them! Her own mother said "She's a nurse, I don't know how she couldn't tell Casey was pregnant".

It looks like they vacuumed a final time before it was moved to the evidence unit. I am sure it was vacuumed before this. As for the snake, I have no idea who this man is or how he got the snake, but could they possibly disect it to see if it "holds" evidence ? This is the only thing I can think of, since it was near the remains, it might have digested something (I hate to go into more detail than this).
IIRC, Dean is a coworker of Kronks who accompanied him into the woods when he first thought he saw something suspicious. After reading Kronk's statement, I got the impression that the snake is the reason they beat a hasty retreat out of the woods without investigating Kronk's suspicion's further. I believe one of them, Kronk or Dean, killed the snake and took it home. Having the snake in evidence will validate his story and show why anyone would leave those woods in a hurry.

Do you guys remember early on when we were scratching our heads over the testimony of one of KC's friends/neighbors(?) about a tale of a younger KC letting her dog relieve itself on a neighbors lawn, and when challenged KC denied owning the dog? This came back to me while reading your post here Chilly.

I also remember the same so-called friends of KC expounding that KC was "known" by them for being a liar, exaggerator, one-upper, et al. She was "that friend" who you might like to hang out with, but couldn't rely on anything coming out of their mouth.

I don't think KC's problems started with her pregnancy. I just think her family didn't notice or take issue of her "down-side" until they became real victims of it as KC was expected to start flying solo - and not just in a cutesy little girl fibbing kind of way.

I think her family just didn't see it as anything wrong!! They all have issues, this whole family is damaged. That is why nobody knew anything was wrong- they shared the behaviors, just like we have seen since this case began!

I just can't imagine what it must be like trying to accept that everything you've known about your child's life for the past 3 years is a lie. Cindy's co-workers say that Cindy had mentioned Zanny the nanny many times over 2 years. They believed, from the casual way Cindy talked about her, that she knew Zanny personally. I'm sure Cindy felt that way herself after hearing all the detailed stories about Zanny's life. Same with Jeff H. The A's heard so much about what a great guy he was, how he was looking out for Casey, his cute little son, he's coming for dinner, he's coming for dessert. He became part of their lives, even though they'd never met him.

Casey's jobs - at Sports Authority and then back to Universal where they were going to make her a manager - all the emails back and forth from Universal, the name tags, the dressy work clothes. George and Cindy must feel like they're living in the Twilight Zone.

Ok, but WHY would Dean bring the snake home and put it in his freezer?!! Especially, as this was before the remains were found? And, it looks to be a very big snake...

Am I the only one who is puzzled by the frozen snake?:)

On the surface most of the lies are not that outrageous. If my daughter told me she'd met a nice guy who has a son and his wife is deceased, I wouldn't doubt her. If my daughter told me that guy had introduced her to a great nanny who also watched his son, I'd be happy someone respectable had personally vouched for the nanny. My daughter has a job she's held for 2 years, yet she's always broke. She leaves the house every day dressed in her work uniform. Never would it occur to me that she was lying about actually being employed.

After 2 years of believing that Zanny existed and was a nanny to my grandchild, it wouldn't be that huge of a leap to believe that Zanny kidnapped the child - not like it is for those of us who never believed in Zanny to start with.

It's only when you put it all together with the knowledge that these things were all lies that it becomes truly outrageous.

Some guys are just weird. :waitasec:

I'm loving this woman. Sure makes me miss my grandmother.

Yuri: What do you think it's going to take for Casey to tell anyone what happened?

Shirley: She probably needs somebody to threaten her, personally. Uh, uh, you know I hate to think of her being put in a jail with them women that's going to beat the hell out of her, but it might do her some good.

I really like SP and after reading this comment in the statement I think I now love this lady...I could use a grandma..mine have passed.

It appears Cindy's coworkers thought some of the tales were pretty outrageous, too ~ Right up to her last day at work. IIRC, didn't her supervisor even have to tell her to go home and get things sorted out? Cindy preferred to wait and give Casey a chance to explain. Unlike us now, those coworkers didn't know what we do in hindsight but they knew Casey's stories were unbelievable. Cindy chose to believe Casey even when others didn't . . .

It's just a man thing. Like you said Daisy, it did look like a very big snake.
If he didn't have the snake to show his buddies, it would've been just a "fish story", KWIM? Not only did he encounter a very large snake, he conquered it as well. He had no idea at that time it would become evidence in a murder trial. Gosh, you just never know what will happen in life!

Guys and gals. I said before that I have a baby snapping turtle in my freezer that has been there for at least 9 years and through 2 moves. I know, I am strange. Chickenhead is my preferred moniker. lol

Probably to play practical jokes on his friends. One of the mechanics at work did that with a rattlesnake he found dead on his property. He kept it in the freezer and brought it into work one day and put it in a tool box drawer of another mechanic, who was deathly afraid of snakes, and then just waited for him to open that drawer. I guess the scream could be heard 10 miles away. (not that I would have been any better, I would have screamed and left a deposit in my underoo's)

I'm not getting the impression, in reading these interviews, that the co-workers saw anything suspicious in Casey's stories up until after Caylee disappeared. Of course the stories during that month were pretty crazy, but that wouldn't be reason for George and Cindy to suddenly realize that everything Casey had told them for 3 years was a fairy tale.
