It seems Baez will be laying low for the rest of the trial. CM is taking over!
But.... he's on mute button duty :rocker:

I don't think he is trying to ambush the Prosecution with some dazzling refutal of their experts reports, I think there is such a dearth of information beneficial to his client he's trying to keep that information from getting out until the last minute.
I was still reeling ... trying to digest everything that was happening so fast today...
As usual, Baez has no clue when to stop :banghead:... so when he was requesting the 30 days - was he asking what I thought he was asking (surely not!) - For 30 MORE days to submit his expert reports???!?
Somebody tell me it was something else. I mean...surely he knew HHJP was going to deny that without blinking an eye...

Are you kidding?????? I missed some of the hearing so was this mentioned????? He only spends 15 hours a week (on average)??? That's insane!!!!!
Just had another thought....
Mason said he has invested 600 hours in this case.
He appeared as a defense member for the first time in court on March 18th, 2010.
There have been approx 40 weeks since he joined the team.
There are 168 hours in a week. Of course you have to consider weekends and evenings, but wouldn't that mean....
He has averaged only 15 hours per week on this case????
:great: Yep, just ask his wife ... wonder if she can figure this out, why he hasn't been around. :bang: Sheeze, if you're gonna use work as an excuse, make sure you can back it up. 15 hours on average, what a joke. Are you kidding?????? I think he was including the hours he spent at the bar downing his ScotchWell those are MY calculations.
Mason stated he has spent 600 hours on the case (he may or may not have been telling a mistruth :innocent.
That comes out to an average of 15 hours per week since his first court appearance.
I can not possibly factor in his vacations, sleep patterns, and level of involvement in the specifics of the case. I can only average it out based on public information.
Perhaps he has only really been fully involved for a portion of the last 40 weeks. Maybe that would explain his claim of there only being so many hours in a day.
Was something to think about. End of disclaimer.
HaHa
I had the same thought about Cindy! I bet when the Judge stated this she perked up in her chair. The $$$$$ were all adding up in her bank account already. LOL
I have a question....this blog that was mentioned. Does anyone know what blog?
I have not read even 1/4th of all the threads of this case but does the defense actually read this board?
Towards the end of the hearing HHJP started talking about Jury Selection, booking hotel rooms under assumed names etc for anonymity- I have a question, when that Jury is selected, will they know that they are going to be shipped to Orlando for this trial ?
Either way, he's wasted a whole lot of time doing nothing or he hasn't spent a lot of time per week on the case. And he had the nerve to blame the prosecution for having to play catch up.Well those are MY calculations.

Yes, that's what he asked for- he started off by saying that due to the holidays he wasn't sure how many of his experts were around, how many would be able to write reports and meet the deadline. HHJP asked how many days he wanted and when JB says '30 days' HHJP came right back and said No sir, you're not getting that'. He also said that the experts were smart folks and were familiar with having to write reports about their findings.... talking down to JB it seemed :innocent:
I'm not sure my chin is up from my desk where it dropped when CM was telling HHJP he just didn't know when he would have time to schedule him in but he would have a look and let him know.
I thought HHJP was going to burst out laughing - he looked very amused and I believe it was when he put his hand in front of his mouth as CM was babbling on and on about what HE could and could not do.
Truly shocking!! No wonder Judge Eaton got up and left - that level of disrespect was just unbelievable. Amazing that HHJP didn't ask the bailiff to drag CM back to his chair and put a muzzle on him. :furious:
Sometimes I get the feeling ICA has distanced herself to the point that she thinks she is on the defense team and they are defending some other person.
Unbelievable... :shakehead:
Does anyone know how long HHJP gave him???
