moo

Okay, I just jumped in the boat with people who are suspicious of him! lol

"Do you want to be on this jury?"

"Of course I do"

"Why?"

"Why not?"

talking in circles now.

YIKES!

I get the impression that he is a very intelligent, but laid back guy. I know a guy much like what this guy sounds like and I can guarantee this would be his answer to the question as well. I like this man. I'm not ready to count him out just yet.

He says he would be a 5 on AF's scale. Neutral on DP

I didn't like his statement there's nothing in the way of him voting for LWOP

The juror seems antagonistic toward the prosecution when asked if he wants to be on the jury.

I'm surprised other PJs haven't reacted this way. Some people don't like to be questioned...

I think this is a big part of the communication problem, hence the condescending response. He simply does not speak their language, he lives in a world so far removed from this legal world he has been called into and he simply does not know how to respond properly. jmo

Hm....I didn't really think of it that way. That very well could be true. ;-)

Let me start by saying I love the SA team, however they need to learn to be a little more personable with PJ. The D/T kind of puts PJ at ease and CM has that "folksey" thing going,AF has that 'auntie" thing going,JB has that I'm cool thing going. IMHO the SA is so "strict" they need to loosen up and be more personable. My grandmother used to say you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. JMHO:twocents:

Feeling suspicious about this guy. He accidently comes into wrong room thus is now questioned out of order. State won't be able to strike because of race. Hinky also because he didn't show up yesterday and defense PI shows up for the first time.

His voice really has changed while talking to the DT....interesting.

I'm here! Are we FINALLY going to get a jury today? Root canals are more fun than this jury selection has been!

'bout time you got here, it's not been the same with out you. :)

o/t Ann Finnell sounds a hundred percent today, glad she's feeling better- I didn't want to see her go into this thing sick.

Hmmm. Not liking that this juror seems to be nicer with the defense...

Neutral is NOT an option! I get the anti-prosecution vibe as well, wonder what his opinion is on law enforcement and the justice system......

He works in a nursing home. Caring for elderly - or at least around elderly. Needs patience, caring and an understanding character.

He became almost "combative" with JA - just threw me right out of his "character". He does have a soft side - we just saw it change back when AF came up. So why the combative answer to the state side?

I agree - I want to here the general voir dire - there's something in his background.

IMO, the Defense (Baez) is not as intimidating with questions, however, Jeff comes across a bit sarcastic/strong at times when asking questions to the jurors. JMO

This guy sounds like he has an agenda. I think he may already have an opinion about guilt or not, but he is keeping it to himself. Just my gut feeling that he has a chip on his shoulder about something.

Anyone have success watching/listening to the proceedings on their mobile? I have an htc android from sprint. Thanks in advance.

I have HTC Evo w/ Sprint if you download Opera mobile in the app market then go to Wesh.com once installed it is the only stream I have found that will let you watch due to flash player

To me he sounds softened when he talks to the DT because he has been vocally "reprimanded" by the SA each time they get up. The DT is much more friendly in their approach than the DT - the SA gets up and has been quite combative with him. So I think this guy says "ouch" to himself - and has softened his response by the time the DT gets up.

I probably would have answered the State the same way IF asked do you want to serve on this jury.

It's a difficult question to answer. No one wants to appear eager to do this yet they don't want to lie and say no. I think the ones who truly don't want to be on the jury have the easiest time with this question.
