What just made my heart hurt was how many times CA was asked "And did you see Caylee & Casey that day/that night?" and she answered "No", leading to the next question "And why was that?". Then CA had to repeat the lies ICA told her when we all know the answer was "Because Caylee was already dead". And then all the talk about Zanny, like she was a real person - I just felt so sorry for CA. Imagine having to sit there & tell everyone how gullible she was, believing every story ICA spun for her....

I was going to post this on the Trial thread but since I didn't watch the actual trial and only watched the videos it's already closed. I see where people keep saying that Cindy is in lala land about the Nanny and all of KC's stories but imo that is exactly how the SA wants it to look. I think JB is going to try to put the blame on CA just the way he did GA, "You knew your daughter wasn't working, didn't you?" translated: "You knew your daughter was living in a fantasy world due to your abuse and you allowed it to continue" All of the stories/lies with so much detail and answers for everything shows why they believed her lies and combine that with her temper and it shows why they never confronted her. I think they let her go on and on about all of these stories and the jury forgets that none of it is real, car accidents, emergency surgery, need for medical insurance, events in the park, new characters coming into play as necessary. And at the end they'll pop the bubble when they remind them it was all make believe. When CA is talking, I bet she so wishes all of the stories were the truth and Caylee is just at an amusement park or playing with her little friends at some Universal Studios event. Oh and I think the SA is Brilliant!! JMO

UPDATE @ 7:00pm EST- HLN has just finished the repeat trial coverage and moved on to Saturday Night Mysteries. I can only speak for EAST COAST coverage.

CNN's HLN has been playing it all day over and over again. Cindy is on the stand now.

I saw that too, but on the hinky meter timeline it has JT as spotting them around noon. As everyone always says that GA was the last to see Caylee alive I've presumed that it's because JT had a very casual acquaintance with KC and Caylee and he might be mistaken. Not sure but after reading his statement and the fact that he mentioned not needing "another…heartless female" in his life, I dunno if he would make the most reliable witness. Is there tape from WalMart to corroborate his statement? Is JT on the witness list? If the prosecution can show that Caylee was alive after KC said she had drowned that would be another crack in the defense's outlandish story.

When I've heard that, I've always thought they meant that of the family members, GA was the last one other than ICA to see Caylee alive. Interesting how things can be interpreted in different ways.

As to CA's appearance to be clueless about ICA's whereabouts and the load of lies:

The SA is having CA regale the jury with every lie out of ICAs mouth for that 31 days. They are allowing CA to lay it all out. Each thing as it was told to her by her [unusual] daughter.

The reason for doing this is when the SA reveals each and every thing as a lie, methodically, the jury will be left much as we were and as CA now is:

feeling pizzed off, shocked, stunned and plain old angry at ICA.

They are literally putting the jury in GA and CA's shoes over the course of those 31 days. They are letting the jury come to the harsh and shocking realization of just how disturbed ICA is and just how big a pathological liar she is.

This can only help their case as they must fight against the smoke and mirrors being thrown about by the DT. The jury is going to FEEL the betrayal, just as we all have and just as the A s have (albeit a bit late in the game)

MOO by the time this is done the jury will be looking at ICA like she has three heads and will not believe a word of her cockamamie defense.

I hope it has sunk in for CA that she was wrong all along. She needed to be humbled imo. Not trying to be vindictive, as so far it looks like she is doing the right thing, but she needs to make this right with herself. Maybe this process, although painful, can help to cleanse her in some way of a lot of the bile from the past, including what ICA had done to her family before this all began.

I understand what you are saying but that is the DT theory...the dt threw out a lot of theories for the sole purpose of creating a "reasonable doubt". I do not believe for one minute that GA had anything to do with the death of Caylee. I have my opinion as does everyone else. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion so here is just a tidbit of what I think might have happen
After the 1st week of the trail is over, so many things have happen. So here goes my theory just based on the actual testimony that I have heard and how it is going to blow the defense right out of the water…



1984 – current date – ICA is a pathological liar (there are more words to use but keeping it simple)

Skipping all the dressing and going right for the meat and potatoes

June 15 2008 – Last picture of Caylee ever taken (There may or may not have been a fight it just doesn’t matter at this point)

June 16 2008 – I believe this was just a normal day Anthony style until 16:00 or 4 pm this is when ICA is frantically looking for a sitter – I know others thought this was when something happen to Caylee but I think based on testimony that ICA called CA at worked asked if she could drop off Caylee because she had a “big” event at her pretend job – IMO this is the 1st time CA tells ICA NO- CA states she has a meeting at work- ICA is annoyed (could use other words but don’t want TOS) this is why ICA calls CA repeatedly – Then she tries GA – to see if he can babysit – no go on that either …and IMO at 16:25-18:31 those 2 hours with no cell activity is when ICA did whatever she did and poor lil Caylee met her demise.IMO the biggest revelation from CA testimony is -- on June 16th the flurry of phone calls CA received at work from ICA - was ICA looking for a sitter - and one of the only few times CA said "NO" - ICA gave CA the ultimate punishment for that ...and CA will have to live with that for the rest of her life

June 16th –July 15th – at some point Caylee was in the trunk of the Pontiac and in the back yard
June 16th – July 15th – more lies more lies more lies – ICA going on her happy way without a care in the world
July 15th to present Anyone can fill in the blanks here

On an end note I DO NOT IN ANY WAY CONDONE what GA and CA have done to try and protect their daughter but in reality just for a fleeting moment I could understand believing the lies instead of believing the reality The ultimate price for standing up to a sociopath IMHO

I just finished watching this again and I think CA was so believable and was every bit the grieving grandmother. I am also stunned by the depth of ICA's lies.

My ex was a sociopath who could have you believing the grass was blue and the sky was green. You get so used to hearing nothing but lies and caught up in the story of the moment that your mind totally goes along with them. On the rare occasions you say "Wait a minute! That doesn't make any sense!" they convince you that they never said it, or that wasn't what they meant, or you heard it wrong, or you're crazy. I totally understand how Cindy could believe her after years of this. It takes a long time and a distance away from them before you finally start to see what happened to you because you love them and trust them and WANT to believe them. You simply cannot get off this "carousel of confusion" no matter what your logical brain is telling you. You have to physically get away from them for a while before you can start putting all the pieces of the puzzle together and realizing what they did to you. It's very much like the snake in The Jungle Book (Kaa?) who's eyes went around and around and hypnotized the others - that's exactly the way you feel. To this day I can't believe I fell for some of the carp he dished out - I am the most logical and analytical person I know, but you are helpless when caught in a sociopaths web. All you can do is get away from them.

Hearing Cindy talk about KC working at Universal...trying to see her at Universal...etc. makes me really really hope that the whole episode of KC taking the cops to her "office" is played out moment by moment. That would be so must see TV!

The menstruation chatter: we were on the same cycle, we would talk about bloating. And bloating was bit with us, actually talking about looking like we were pregant. Casey started putting on weight. She was sitting at her job at Universal. Not up and walking as much. She had issues before that when she was not active...I thought she was filling out.


The Winnie The Pooh recount with Casey still living at home...which sequed into CA: Caylee's bed

This crying over Caylee's bed and bedding set Casey off. She was visibly seething.

Cindy's testimony regarding her and Casey bloating was silly I thought. I thought she was trying to downplay how oblivious she was not to notice she was pregnant before the 7th month. I think after the bloating, Cindy goes on to explain that if Cindy gained 5 pounds because she's on 5'2 she looks much heavier right away....but normally I bet you she wouldn't have gained it all in her lower stomach.
