This may happen on the other end. I shrink the windows and watch the tinies. Actually, I open the Casey Cam too, so three. Good luck. Be intuitive with your Mac and see what happens.

Thanks. I was planning on getting a new computer in the next month or so, and hadn't made a decision on what to get. Then my son got a nasty virus on my laptop, and it had to go in the shop for who knows how long, and meanwhile, I still have to work. Sigh. I let my H talk me into the Mac, and now I've gone from being the family's computer whiz to having to look in the book to find the 'on' button...

I watched most of what trial I got to see today on HLN, in other words, I've watched A LOT of commercials today. Hopefully I will have this figured out by tomorrow.

I'm hard pressed to think of more than a just a few things I've watched on live TV that were more compelling than what I witnessed today - that being 'Dr G' turn a cross examination into a knock out blow for the prosicution. It was mesmerizing on so many levals.

I've never heard of Dr G before & her show doesn't air in my area. The lady is a champ at the top of her game. There's no doubt that after today she'll be a house hold name. She devestated Cheney Mason in more ways than one ...

Which brings me to Cheney Mason. I was glad to see him finaly start handling some of the cross; he's a REAL attorney, has had a long distinguished career & made it feel like a real trial & not a freak show ( you know who I'm talking about). Today we basically saw the end of his court room career. Like a boxer past his prime, he was pummeled senseless, never landed even a week blow, didn't even have the strength to keep his hands up to block & finaly went down. Personaly, I can seperate him from his client; he's just a lawyer doing his job - & on that leval you have to have some compassion for him. Like Ali on the canvas at the end of his boxing days, it's all over. So I do feel sorry for him.
As for the new champ, the good Dr, if I ever hear of another case she's sceduled to appear in, I'll definitly tune in. There's nothing like watching a pro at the top of their game.

I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. The legal system is better off without him. I mean this is a guy who is on board with an obviously made-up nonsense defense which accuses innocent people of molestation. It's not as if he's an honorable person for heaven's sake.

Well according to the current talking heads on JVM, KC will walk...how can these people spout this garbage on cable TV and get away with it.....ugh!

Casey, even if cleared of murder, even if cleared of manslaughter, will not be cleared of the child abuse and lying charges. Then there's the little matter of the other six felonies hanging in the balance.

She will walk to nowhere but to and from her cell for a long, long time. MO.

Hi MsBrisbee,

Maybe somebody can clear this up because I'm not sure, but doesn't the defendant have to be deemed by a psych professional as mentally incompetant for that defense to even be used? I'm curious.

ETA: I think this is a hard defense. Wasn't Jeffrey Dahmer found sane?

Big Thank you to all who posted commentary and pictures! I could only watch the morning because of a meeting all afternoon. Channel 6 recreated a video showing caylee's face morphing into a skull and the duct tape going across - like the one shown in the court room. It is - horrific.
And ICA's behavior - she is really acting for the benefit of the jury - I am so disgusted. Hopefully, they see her for what she is. I cannot find the words to describe the anger I feel about the way she is acting in the courtroom.
I do think correctional staff have cracked down after her little episode yesterday. I am sure they saw through that immediately. She would not be the first to pull something like that.

Someone should have given ICA a mirror to practice her sad face in, I've come to the conclusion that she doesn't know what she is portraying. She thinks she is looking sad and pathetic, when in truth we all see deep furrows and ANGER written in red across her forehead. Yesterday (or Wednesday?) she visibly sank down in her chair wrapped up in that over-shirt.

Coming back from lunch ICA looked fully recovered, smiling at her boys again, sitting talking with LF til JB took his seat.

She sat riveted to the screen watching the "reenactment" of the duct tape. No shock, no sorrow but she was majorly pizzed again! Just imagine sitting through a video depicting your own deceased child with three pieces of duct tape across her face. Horrifying. But I am glad HHJP allowed it in (loved that none of JB's reasons for suppressing it even applied to the situation). Especially with CM getting up there and insisting the duct tape was never across Caylee's little face.

I do have to give DS credit, she is a more compassionate person than I am, when ICA cries she offers her some comfort - I would just want to :trout: and remind her that this is ALL her doing! She has had three years to prevent any of it from happening. No sympathy here.

MissJames was the piece of duct tape that was found 9 ft away from the skull one of those 3-pieces? Or was this another piece.

When JB mentioned a piece of duct tape found 9 ft away (today) I was wondering if this was part of the three. And did that piece have hair on it also.

3 pieces were on Caylee's face. A fourth piece was found a bit away .

What defense?

ty for all these, you are a star my dear.

as far as pic of ICA when "chewed" comes up, there was also a time today when she appeared to actually sob instead of fake it, which was also during description of chewing. and every other time "chewed" came up, she made the face as in the shot above.

I find it amazing that she could do the things she did and handle hearing it all okay, but the whole chewing by animals thing seems to do her in - anyone got any ideas as to why this might be? I cant even guess....

went to trial today. in line by 5:30 AM DID NOT GET IN TILL AFTERNOON . FIGHT IN LINE AS SOME BUTTED IN - IT WAS LIKE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW- PEOPLE YELLING- CALLED HER A HO- YELLED SHES GOT OUR TICKET! cops removed a couple of them. some one pushed a lady and she cried, paramedic came for a lady also. some guy nut stood in middle of courtyard and yelled like A MANIAC! NO IDEA WHAT!! people saying press charges and swearing some rough words!!
saw a reaction from juror of the look of wth is jose saying! he asked for mistrial again when jury left. the pics were upsetting- the hair looked like a birds nest and the bone was just awful laying in pic. when talk of maggots on cardboard casey did not look fazed. i guess it was only cardboard ??? the image of superimposed skull was strange to see. people removed from balcony for sleeping. lady next to me couple sets kept dozing and i reached over and poked her-lol. she said thanks- its all so sad.

went to chinese buffet after trial and people were talking loud of trial. i said i just came from there and showed my ticket- that was the start of conversation across tables. all ears--

expense. 15.00 parking, lunch and dinner cost-- had a nice time in line telling others of websleuths told them to join if they like to read reliable smart posts.
omg- those pics
bless the baby casey- its not decomp -its a child gone to soon!!

Just viewed the tape from the end of court today....JP's attitude really bothers me the way he handled the mistrial statement..that he has up to the verdict to declare a mistrial....... he was grinning......what is he really saying???

And does anyone have the part where ICA was rushed out of court at the end of the day? I really want to see it... WFTV doesn't show it. :(

That really bothered me also. I searched around the internet and found it had other people perplexed also. Here are some comments that I found.

"was a message to both the defense and the State to make a deal. However slight the possibility is, the State now has "a concern" that the Judge could grant a mistrial based on the video."

"the Judge after seeing the overwhelming evidence today wanted Baez to have a "come to Jesus" session with Casey and tell her to face the reality that she very likely will be put to death, unless she were to accept a plea to life. "

I think what Judge Perry was saying, in a round-about-way to the defense, IF they (the DT) continue to request a mistrial at every turn, he (JP) will take advantage of the time allowed by law to render his decision and, should he read the jury's verdict and it is a not guilty verdict, he (JP) COULD at that time (BEFORE/WITHOUT rendering the jury's verdict) render his own verdict and allow the defenses request for a mistrial. Hope that helps!

The only thing I can say is the DT must not have much waiting in the wings, if they request a mistrial every other day,

Im sorry..but I am getting sick and tired of some of the Th's who are bashing Dr. G...actually stating she went over the line for even considering the Manner of death..since she couldnt find a "Cause" therefore she became a SA advocate..Yikes I about jumped out of my skin :banghead:..So I went to look up just what information ME's use to consider before they decide the "Manner" of death..and I think this describes precisely what their protocol is~` Geesh...Some of these TH's drive me crazy :banghead:

http://volusia.org/medicalexaminer/faq.htm

What is the normal process of a forensic death investigation?
In many cases when there is a death, at least two jurisdictions are involved. The police or law enforcement agencies involved have jurisdiction over the crime scene and it’s associated physical evidence. The medical examiner is responsible for the body of the deceased and any physical evidence in direct contact with the body. With the exception of life-saving efforts that may be attempted by fire/ rescue officials, the body may not be touched or moved by anyone (including law enforcement officials) without the permission of the medical examiner. Therefore, forensic investigators from the Medical Examiner’s Office typically respond to every non-natural death scene before the body is removed from the scene. Forensic investigators will document the pertinent details and collect information about the circumstances of death. The body will then be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office, where it will be placed in refrigeration until examination
.

Im sorry, but a ME has to consider the evidence of the investigations be LE in order to make the decisions....especially considering she is assessing bones!!!

JMOO obviously..only getting frustrated with Team Casey Advocates:banghead:

Well according to the current talking heads on JVM, KC will walk...how can these people spout this garbage on cable TV and get away with it.....ugh!

I agree. BUT, (those old enough), who thought O.J. would walk?

After saying that, my position is KC will get LWOP, not death.

PS. Dr G. vs. CM was awesome. That testimony gave me goosebumps.

MOO

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

I have to say, when Yuri Melich testified I thought he was awesome....Then Dr. Vass came up and he blew me away...but Dr. G- she is my hero! I was AMAZED at how she handled CM. She did not allow him to corner her into a yes/no answer and she made sure to let the jury know exactly what I wanted them to think about "There is NO ONE who covers up an accidental death unless there is a reason to cover it up" and then she went in for the kill to emphasize that this body was bagged up and hidden in the woods because whoever did it did NOT want it to be found. She was so incredible, I'm going to go on WFTV.com to rewatch it right now. Bottom line, it makes absolutely no sense. If Caylee had accidentally drowned, it's clear that ICA would have reveled in the attention she would get as a mourning mother. I hope the jury sees that- she loves having everything about her. She would have been able to have so much sympathy and attention. She probably regrets that she didn't think of that lie 3 years earlier and drown Caylee instead. :(
People keep talking about reasonable doubt, but saying Caylee drowned and her and George went through this elaborate scheme (including Roy Kronk) to cover it up and then sit for 3 years on this info while ICA sits in prison, is absurd...not reasonable.

I have no doubt Dr. G and CM have met on the job before.
And I agree ,there is nothing reasonable about that story the defense made up. Nothing.
