At this point GA would be fully justified in throwing ICA under the bus the next time he takes the stand. I sure would love to see that.

I would look at it as a form of self-preservation and protecting the family I had left. That little monster ruins everything she touches. I have to wonder... if she got LWOP would her lying and manipulation eventually get her high in the pecking order with other inmates, kind of taking over, or would jailhouse justice quickly find her? She is supremely manipulative and deceptive, and I really think she needs to die to not only provide justice for Caylee but to protect others.

BBM - Well (IMO) from what Lippman is quoted as saying looks to me in this article that (bolded section above) is the plan now if the defense continues down this path of destroy GA at all costs.

Well lets see book deals, any money gained from anything else, so they won't look like monsters. Remember the public was on the A's yard very angry, suppose they fear what will happen if the world hears them stand up in court and plead for her life.

I agree. The fact is that by supporting KC not only did they look like fools, it looked like they were enabling a child murderer. They were about the most hated people around. I always thought that it was a shame that the only way they could win public support would be by denouncing their only daughter. I know as a mother, no matter what my child did, I would not want to publicly denounce them. Maybe privately but not publicly.

I have been saying that all along. I just got done arguing with someone who stated to me that the A's are nothing more than grieving grandparents.....OK! Believe what you want, but I along with many others have followed this case since day one and have read the thousands of documents and have seen the spiral of lies from the entire family. I think the only reason the A's made this 11th hour statement is because they have finally realized that ICA has thrown the whole family under the bus and that this is the only way they can get out from under it......JMO

:gthanks:

****Oh and by the way, the end of the Universal Hallway actually leads to MY OFFICE!! Really! that is the truth, when ICA brought OCSO to show them where her office was she literally stopped in front of my office; I work as a Paramedic at Universal Studios here in Orlando. She saw that the door to my office was closed and then admitted that she didn't work here.........:seeya:

:great::great: Super awesome!!

Psssttt: Is Yuri as hotttttt in person as on TV????????

Which is a weird way to acknowledge she's guilty. Or am I hung up on semantics?

(This isn't meant to bash btw)

I guess we are both hung up on semantics, tasha. I thought the same thing and have posted about it.

After thinking about it a bit, I am reminded of the dynamic of that family and why they can't bring themselves to say that she is guilty. Not innocent is a pretend version of Guilty. I am afraid they pretended for too long after 6-16 that everything was ok. And I am sad for them that they are still pretending.

I have always had a soft spot for CA & GA. They didn't deserve this. From the people on their lawn yelling at them, to the bus that ran over GA in opening statements. This would have never happened to them if ICA hadn't killed their Caylee.

Not Innocent? Heck, depending on what you mean, I may not be innocent either! :-)

All kidding aside though, it is truly sad that they are still minimizing everything ICA does.

TC, Robin

Casey! Casey! Casey! put her on the stand!!! Wow, what a tabloid heaven!

Such a sad sad display of our legal system & current day criminals plus drugs! I hope it stops soon! JMO

truth serum? would that be fair? just asking

Casey! Casey! Casey! put her on the stand!!! Wow, what a tabloid heaven!

Such a sad sad display of our legal system! Better stop! JMO

The only thing my sister knows about this case is the will she or won't she bit about her testimony. There's just a really deranged Ross and Rachel tension to it all. I so want this over. I can't deal with the junkie I've become over this.

What I don't understand is why they think the public needs an explanation? I've read this in other posts. The jury they need to worry about but the public? Why?

If there is the dreaded MISTRIAL their statement (if true) will do ICA more harm then good..Do the A's realize (if true) the risk involved?

“They will do all they can to help her avoid her getting the death penalty in this case,” Tuchman reported after talking to Lippman. ”They do not believe, George and Cindy Anthony, that their daughter Casey is innocent in regards to the death of their granddaughter, Caylee.”

The irony in this situation, for me,is that,if CA and GA had worked with LE and the State from the beginning,I believe their feelings as victims may have avoided a the State requesting the DP.

Baez would jump out of his chair so fast objecting to relevance that his head would hit the ceiling. IMO (or at least he should)

ETA - Now that I've had 5 seconds to think about this, Baez will likely open the door to this type of question on direct. What a hoot. He asks her about her media tour, interviews, looking for zanny - all the time insisting Casey is innocent. Up comes JA on cross -

JA: Mrs. Anthony, have you now changed your thoughts and opinions since those interviews?
Baez: Objection! Relevance!
HHJP: Sustained. You opened the door Mr. Baez.

IMO

BBM. Did you mean "over ruled"?

I understand what you're saying - that they were shocked and appalled by the sexual allegations. But someone asked why they would come out now with the 'not inncocent' statement and speculated it may have been due to River Cruz's recent accusations. I'm just saying that it seems to me that the straw that broke the camel's back and turned the tide for them, so to speak, would be the sexual allegations rather than accusations of an affair that may or may not have happened.

And now I've gone and confused myself. :D
I think it's the opposite if this makes sense. If you tell me I sexually abused you, I might justify this in my mind that you're mad at me and trying to save yourself in any manner. But if you tell me a child died and I had her in my arms and I know, I KNOW, I was not there and that did not happen, then I know you are lying and I know you know you are lying and I then have no choice but to believe you killed the child. I think this is what happened to GA and CA.

Yes, the abuse charges were bad but they had to have halfway expected that due to the letters. I don't think they ever expected ICA to accuse GA of being there in the middle of the death scene and I think this is when their acceptance of her guilt began.

To stay OT, I hope GA and CA keep their faith in their attorney. He seems to have had a calming influence on them.

Nope that is Longtime medic that was verified.....I am still awaiting for my call from Tricia....

We just happen to share a very similar career background (and opinion), and people that have run thousands of 911 calls (Police/Fire/EMS) tend to see things from a perspective that most others don't. The everyday, real world is much more twisted and screwed up than some of the best fiction ever written... most are just never put in a position where they have to see it with their own eyes.

I've seen people (lots in fact) throwing blame within 10 minutes of a fatal incident, just to cover their own butts, regardless of who they are sacrificing... and they do it almost subconsciously. So keep your doors locked and your kids in sight... because the days of Ward and June Cleaver are long gone. :twocents:

When George and Cindy show some anger about what ICA did to Caylee....is the day I'll cut them some slack. They knew before this tragedy ever happened that ICA was strange. They ignored it and covered for her. Enabled her. Caylee paid the ultimate price.

I believe the question he was asked was what were the Anthony's hoping the outcome of the trial would be. After saying he couldn't violate atty/client privilege by saying exactly what they had said to him I recall him saying that they wanted justice, just not the ultimate justice that the state is seeking (or after) something to that effect.

That's exactly what he said. Their only concern was achieving justice for Caylee, but they didn't want the ultimate justice that the state was seeking. Right then I knew they finally arrived in the acceptance phase of grief and admitted she killed Caylee.

As much as I'd love to see the needle in her arm for what she did to Caylee, as a parent I can totally understand not wanting it for your child regardless of the horrors of the this particular crime. She is their daughter, and they will always love her.

IMO, Lippman's non-statement speaks VOLUMES! He did not deny making the statement, that is huge! I believe this is a subtle little warning to Baez that both GA & CA are ready and willing to take the stand, but up with his bullish defense and achieve justice for Caylee.

Thank you! I would love to hear this come out of their own mouths instead of through their lawyer.... The past few days seeing NG's BOMBSHELLS.. has left me a little jaded.. things can be twisted and turned so easily..

Also from the same link (italics mine):

"Lippman said his clients want justice done, they want the truth to come out and they “do not believe she [Casey] is innocent,” Tuchman reported. “They love her, they support her and they do not want her to get the death penalty,” Tuchman reported Lippman saying."

Why am I remembering CA on TV saying "If Casey did this she must have had help"?

Her friend Annie Downing also said she would've had to have help -- that she wasn't smart enough to carry it all out alone (something like that).
