"Neither confirms nor denies she is not innocent"?? Doesn't that double negative make a positive? IOW they believe she may be innocent..

More wordplay out of attorney's mouths Everytime an attorney speaks, it seems I have to break every sentence down to figure out what they're saying.

..em..also have to do the samet with cindy and lee.

Unless I see George and Cindy Anthony on TV live saying that they think their daughter is guilty of murdering their granddaughter Caylee Anthony , I'm simply going to not give much weight what any reporter has said that attorney Mark Lippman told him. Gary Tuchman doesn't air any video footage of himself interviewing Mark Lippman in the Anderson 360 show. You can read the CNN transcript of the Wed. June 22 show:

I'm sorry but my heart breaks for G&C

They loved Caylee beyond words and the denial was part of self preservation which is natural. The fighting with people that dared say that KC hurt Caylee was total denial because if they admitted or thought this then they would have to concede that little Caylee was dead. They both hoped that Caylee was alive and wanted the Zanny story to be true...where theres hope theres life

When Caylee was found their world imploded and the grief then manifested itself in yet more denial and anger - I cannot imagine a worse life than the life they both have to live

They have been sitting through this trial and possibly for the first time heard exact details of what may have happened, they have watched the jail house tapes and now have put things together and have the grim realisation that they were duped big time and worse that their own daughter, their own flesh and blood has done this wicked thing

I cannot imagine what life must be like for G&C but I wish them total peace in their lives and hope that one day they will be blessed with another grandchild who will never replace Caylee but at least bring them some light into their dark lives

Remember that these two are really the victims too and I'm sure every day they wake up in their own living hell

As for being enablers - what parent on earth would even comprehend that their child could murder their grandchild? Stealing and lying is one thing, but MURDER?

Caylee was cherished by these grandparents and they now look like zombies with eyes that are glazed. Their lives are pretty much over and they have gone through more these past 3 years than most people will put up with in 10 lifetimes

I for one will send out good thoughts to them and hope that they find the strength and peace knowing that there are people out there who wish them well

Ditto! When I read the headline, the first thought was no way. Even though they may think Casey murdered Caylee, there is no way they will admit it to anyone including their attorney, imo. Heck, I don't even believe they would tell each other, imo

Oops...it looks like they've removed the article.:waitasec:

Awe man...I had the article pulled up, pressed the back button on the wrong tab and when I pressed the forward button to go back to the article, I got this message...Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

And I didn't even get to read it! LOL

It's still there. Just click on Hal's name and it will pop up. I smell a small interview for BIG $$. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anthony Lawyer Talks Casey Case On CNN
"Snip" POSTED: 5:42 am EDT June 23, 2011

ORLANDO, Fla. -- George and Cindy Anthony do not believe their daughter Casey is innocent, their lawyer told CNN on Wednesday night.

The Anthonys' lawyer, Mark Lippman, told CNN that his clients do not want their daughter to receive the death penalty for the killing.

George Anthony is denying allegations that he had an affair with Krystal Holloway.

Lippman released a statement ahead of potential testimony from Holloway, who claims George Anthony confided in her about Casey Anthony's case.

If I ever need a lawyer for any reason, I will tell him quite expressly that he needs to keep his mouth shut. What happened to lawyer/client confidentiality? Is everything a joke nowadays? Court rules can be ignored repeatedly, lawyers don't keep client confidentiality....what's next?

They are her parents. Of course they are going to want to believe the "best" (she didn't do it), because believing the truth is just too heart-wrenching.

Really, I'm a little (no, a lot, really) suprised at all the animosity and jeering aimed toward these poor people. THEY did not kill their granddaughter -- they loved her to the ends of the earth. Their daughter did this. Can you imagine, just for an instant, how hard this is for them? And what a huge step this is for them, emotionally, to admit this?

Wouldn't we all want our parents to be like this? To support us unquestionably, against all odds?

I hope none of us ever finds ourselves, as parents, in this situation.

Y'know, I read or heard "somewhere" that Tracy wasn't interviewed. I certainly don't know whether she was or not, though I find it odd if she wasn't, and I cannot trust my own memory that far back. If you saw the brief interview NG did with Ms. Dimond, then you heard how if someone spoke of how cute Caylee's photos were, then KC would come along with photos of her (KC) and mention how cute they were. Weird, being jealous of your own kid...or any kid 20 years younger than yourself. Anyway, I cannot wait to read this interview, I hope it delivers.

Tracy M was interviewed. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88746&highlight=tracy+mclaughlin

We discussed her interviews at length on this site.

Lawyer: Casey's Parents Do Not Think She's Innocent

"Snip"
There is some speculation that Cindy Anthony may be called to the stand on Thursday.

Wonder what took them so long, don't answer that. :)

Interesting, don't you think......Concidering how Cindy is feverishly taking notes of everything in court since day one.

I guess by them admitting that their daughter is in fact guilty, it will help boost book sales.

Now, I'll go back and read everyone else's opinions.
Back to page one - see ya later!

Don"t be sorry for having compassion and understanding. Those are very good qualities to have. We would not live in such a sad, tragic world if more people had those.

The parents of Casey Anthony do not believe she is innocent, their lawyer told CNN.

George and Cindy Anthony do not, however, want their daughter to receive the death penalty for the killing, said lawyer Mark Lippman.

Casey Anthony, 25, is charged with seven counts in her daughter's death, including first-degree murder. If convicted, she could face the death penalty.

Lippman's bombshell statement to CNN's Gary Tuchman was discussed on "AC 360" Wednesday night. It is unclear how the remarks would affect testimony that is scheduled to continue in Anthony's capital murder trial Thursday.

"But this is important and they wanted me to stress this," said Tuchman. "They love her, they support her and they do not want her to get the death penalty and they will do all they can to avoid her getting the death penalty

I believe since Baez OS, this might have been the rude awakening the A's needed to see the truth. It's a good thing they have finally seen the light but there are still in that catch 22...now maybe they will be a voice for Caylee...

It will be more devastation, more humilation as Baez puts KH on the stand to further embarrss this family and it's truly shameful that His Honor will allow this type of defense. I can't wait for the SA's to put on their rebuttal case it appears they've already prepared for it..and will knock Baez and ICA"s defense right out of the park...Caylee will get justice...at least I'm hoping those jurors can see through the smut and realize ICA isn't willing to take responsiblity for her own actions. Much like Baez won't accept responsiblity for violating discovery rules...I believe they belong together...JMHO

Justice for Caylee

I don't doubt for one minute that Mr. Lippman spoke out of school, so to speak regarding this.

I'm sure that this was released with the Anthony's permission.

BBM

I've thought about that a lot over the past few years since this all started. I have children myself, and I sometimes wonder if there is ANYTHING that could stop me from loving them. I don't have even the strength to imagine what G & C are feeling about this situation. I can't even "go there" in my mind.

I agree with what you say, except that I am NOT suprised at all at the animosity towards them. From day one, they have not behaved well. Would any of us behave better? I'd like to think yes, we would. We have seen, in our history, more than PLENTY of grieving parents and grandparents who have conducted themselves with grace in the face of overwhelming loss and broken hearts. I realize that given those extreme situations, no one should EVER put a grieving person on a stage and say "okay, now let's judge you for your behavior." I do, however, think that in the face of such raw emotion, a person's true nature WILL come out. As much as I pity GA & CA, we have seen a lot of their true nature, and it's not pretty.

As for this newest news, I suspect that G & C have known for quite a long time that KC is "not innocent," but to say it publicly is huge for them. To say that out loud, must break their hearts all over again. Yeah, I do feel for them.

Not having followed the Anthony's closely before the trial, I'm not at all shocked that they don't believe ICA is innocent.

Kinda feel like The Lone Ranger today. ;)

Maybe Cindy and George allowed him to put it out there as a shot across the bow to Baez.
