I think this is excellent news. :woohoo:

I understand your sentiment, and I can't speak for others, but the reason I was so shocked by the sudden turn-around is because DB was adamant that she would not allow the boys to be interviewed again....under no circumstances.

She may have just had a change of heart, but I can understand why people would think that it came about not from choice, but from something forced....Purely because of her own statements that she would never allow it.

I don't think the questions or shock are unreasonable when that is all taken into account.

JMO

JT said yesterday that under the right conditions they would allow it, meaning with someone who is trained in questioning children. I can't remember his exact words.

If DB and JI say they were accused within an hr or 2 then maybe they were afraid LE would question the boys that way. You know, like "your mom killed your sister".

I'm glad they are being questioned again and I hope whoever is doing it really knows what they are doing. Those boys don't need any more trauma.

Musical beds was being played in the Aliayah Lunsford case too.

Mariha Smith (Detroit), as well. Children were sleeping on the floor in the dining room of a relative's home the night that Mariha was taken (and later found burned to death in a nearby abandoned home). No charges have ever been filed and no one arrested in the homicide :(

humm.. wonder why the mother would lie about WHO was sleeping in her bed that night? What is wrong with saying both boys were sleeping with her? Are they protecting one of them for some reason?

BTW: Do you know who said that both boys were in the bed?

Agree.

The following is all speculation:

JMO, I also think that it *could be* a DT ploy to announce to the media that the parents are allowing the boys to be interviewed/DNA-tested. Just speculating that they *MAY* have not had any choice in this matter, although of course that has not been announced by anyone, let alone LE, in the media. JMO.

*IF* CPS determined that the boys needed to be relocated, I wonder if any of the family members would get temporary custody? Since LE may not know what happened to Lisa, and she hasn't been found yet, and it's an ongoing investigation. And the parents have allegedly been staying with family members. Such decisions would probably vary since JI is not the father one of the boys.

Seems like a very tricky situation (missing baby, inconsistencies in Lisa's parents' statements, several family in the area, another non-custodial parent, ongoing investigation) to say nothing of the conflicts between some of the family and LE regarding level of cooperation and how the case is being investigated.

I know this has been mentioned before but I just didn't know which thread to discuss it in, so here it is:

"Lisa was the little girl that was going to hold this family together," Short said, adding the child was wanted, looked forward to and "well-loved."

http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/26/justice/missouri-missing-girl/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

This statement keeps jumping out at me again and again. Why do you need a child to hold your family together? A child cannot do that. Only a marriage can. And why did it need holding together? What was wrong? This statement implies that there was some sort of trouble if it needed a solution.

I do understand that she would be their only child together at this point, but the statement still does not sit right with me, kwim?

It's an unfortunate statement IMO because it makes me wonder if Lisa was supposed to fix volatile family relationships. IMO they rarely get fixed by adding an infant in the mix.

I noticed it too (on more than one occasion - the lawyer said it as well ) and wondered what that was supposed to mean? I thought it was odd as well.

It is possible that DB meant that Little Lisa would tie them all together by blood. Lisa would be linked by blood to both brothers and both parents.

JMO

This is how I took it also. I have heard this statement made by other 'yours, mine and ours' families.

The other statement that JI and DB have made that I find odd is that they are closer now then ever before I find this very odd with the stress that their relationship must be under.

This really doesn't have anything to do with finding Lisa but I really wish this Lawyer would stop refering to Lisa in the past tense. It just irks me (a little).

It bothers me a lot. Much could be read into it beyond just a slip of the tongue or someone being insensitive.

I've read (somewhere?) that use of the past tense can be telling, perhaps an indication that someone knows (or believes) more than they're saying.

Also could be that the person has made one or more assumptions or is expressing fears; e.g., that Lisa is gone (abducted or no longer alive) and thus, the family/marriage will fall apart. Or they're speaking for someone who has made assumptions, expessed fears, or knows something.

Those kinds of statements you really would have to ask the person what they meant. And with some people, you would have to have your salt shaker handy. ;)

:seeya:Hey folks, if this turns into a general discussion thread like yesterday's MSM thread did, we'll get locked out of here...just sayin'... it'll happen for sure.

1:50 PM today (10/26) On live TV - FOX national channel - Megyn Kelly's show from 1 to3 PM.

Mark Fhurman on FOX with Megyn Kelly talking about the allowing the re-interviewing of the boys.

MK saying that the parents told her that especially the younger one - has been experiencing stress - knots in his throat.....

MF saying that since DB changed the timeline - and that she blacked out at some time in the evening but at the same time she (DB) remembers bringing BOTH the boys into her bedroom to sleep.

Little boys will remember if they finished watching the movie, were they in their room the whole time; did one or the other remember mom coming in and asking them about sleeping in mom's room.

MK - catching that the youngest one was in mom's bed when dad came home - not both and that the oldest one was in his own room.

Showing clip of DB saying she "thinks" she checked on Lisa and then checked on the boys and asked if the youngest wanted to come sleep with her -

MF - again, see - she doesn't remember checking the baby but remembers going in the boys room and asking the younger one. Possible isn't always probable. Could be something she is distancing herself from. Talking about the reported clothes that Lisa was in - why no pj's or onesie? Could DB have changed the baby and not remember by seeing the SW having purple shorts.

That's it.

Segment over.

The end.

Is this about the discussion of the attorney's comment ("Lisa was the little girl that was going to hold this family together?")?

I'm confused, becuz the CNN article posted in the link upthread is dated (well, it says "updated") today. :) TIA...

Police say that the siblings of missing Northland infant Lisa Irwin may be interviewed later this week, but a lawyer for the parents of the 11-month-old girl who disappeared over three weeks ago says not so fast.

Irwin family attorney Cyndy Short says that Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, Lisa Irwin's parents, will not be talking to police again unless police meet certain conditions, saying that trust between the couple and police has been shattered. She says that the parents have been reluctant to talk to police after they said that the questioning turned into accusations.

But Short did say that the family was currently considering the idea that the child's two brothers will be interviewed about the case on Friday by a non-law enforcement specialist, not by detectives. The boys were last interviewed the day after their sister disappeared.

If they can't even agree if they've agreed on an interview on Friday or not they won't be able to agree on anything else either IMO.

In a quick segment on Baby Lisa, HLN just reported that cadaver dogs picked up the scent of a dead baby in the parent's bedroom. They need to clarify that statement.
