Wasn't this lean-to chair found close to the Cummings house?

Could it have been a "time-out" chair for Halaigh & Jr.?

Thank You so much!
Take a look at the pic's in the picture thread of the front of the MH
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94620&page=7

See the little black swirly railings in the front of the trailer?
If you notice also the blue plastic bin?
IMO, this door is the door to the outside screened in area of the Ron's MH.
Look closely at the railing and the blue bin.
Thoughts?

Maybe the blue ice cooler NG reported was actually a blue plastic bin.

I found this video that shows the screen/storm door to the front porch swinging open.
Watch at 1:17.
I think I see a rope-does anyone else?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvDtnS7INoM

Can not clearly make out a rope but there is a shadow at the bottom on the door starting at Frame 1:18 that appears to move with the door as if something is dangling from the door and moves with the door as it shuts

was the rope there so small kids (like jr) could reach to open the door, just pull on the rope?

I looked @ cummings front screen door, zoomed in - there is no rope on the front door during this interview with GGMS (JMO)
zoomed in on Lindsy's interview and noticed another picture of her door and it did NOT have a rope on it.
This is indeed odd, it is almost as if this rope/door picture was "inserted" into this video!
Maybe an email should be sent to the producers of this video asking them some questions about this find???
Regardless, if the rope found in the WOODS matches the rope in Lindsy interview, I would say U have definitely found something here!
I agree with others, good catch!
Has this find been mentioned to LE, just out of curiousity? It may be important, may be irrelevant - who knows! :waitasec:

I bet that is the rope they are looking for.Maybe who ever tied her with it or knew about it took it off the door .This way the would not have it to match it with if they find her. That poor child I wanted her home just wish she was still alive.

Did we ever get a picture of the latest rope?
Any new news on ropes?

bumping up the rope thread since it has just come up on JVM per Granny as the possible murder weapon (or what she is claiming she was told)

The only picture is in the video report. I wish someone new how to screen cap the picture from the video report and share here. TIA

The rope that was found in Feb 2009 was mentioned in the article but no picture.

Link to video Report where you can see the rope on a screen door at around the 1:00min mark.

Is this it?
bumping still of rope

I think that the rope is on a door at the Croslin's house, a little later in the video they show Lindsy standing in front of a (their?) house, and it looks more like the door with the rope, tho I can't see a rope in the shot with Lindsy.

Maybe the rope was just there to make coming and going easier, the video was around the time they had their garage sale, maybe they were going in and out with all their stuff.
bumping this one too

I was working on the Case calender and ran across this article written in Feb. 09 its the one where the wooden chair was found in the woods. I know we have discussed this before, but what floored me was the other stuff found A ROPE AND SHOVEL.....
After Granny Flo made the statement last night about Misty may have knocked Haleigh in the head (maybe with a shovel??) and then the thing about Haleigh being tied with a rope to a brick and thrown into the river.

I wonder if these things were taken in as evidence, or what if they thought they were not related, but now they may be. I hope they kept those things. Wondering what people think about this or am I WAY off base?

http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal_report/2009/02/florida-police-receive-new-leads-in-abduction-of-haleigh-cummings.html

In related news, volunteers found one area of interest in the woods where someone had constructed a makeshift lean-to and furniture out of tree branches. A shovel and length of rope were found at the location; however it remains unclear if any of the items are of relevance.

I think it's quite interesting to say the least. I too would like to know if they were taken into evidence...I really hope they were!

ETA: I also find it interesting that the article says (just under where it talks about the rope and shovel) something like he thinks it might have something to do with something he did in the past (fight with JO maybe or something about the drug deals?) Who knows but it is interesting I think.

The reason I asked if it was taken as evidence is the article states it was found by searchers.

OK, I went back and took note of the home on Green lane VS Tyler Street.
That rope WAS on the 2nd outside screen door at the MH on Green lane, Ron's MH. Reason being there is NO BLACK RAILING AT THE MH ON TYLER.

In picture taken on 7/18/2009 pg 9 http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94620&page=9
The outside screen door is white and it opens to the left. There is only one black hand rail with a swirly design and old concrete steps, they are not painted white. Total of three to get to the door. One black Hand rail.

Picture taken 7/1/09 of MH on Tyler St.
If you notice the MH on Tyler does not have the porch on the front. It's on the side and the steps are smaller. The entrance that is shown in the front looks like an addition, but no steps to enter through that screen door and also notice there are no railing at all at the MH on 116 Tyler st.. There are whit steps that lead up to the side screen door, but no black railing.
Also, notice an area that is cleared for right of way and the power lines. There are ropes in that area. I wonder if any rope was missing around the time Haleigh went missing? This area is directly across Green Street from the blue trailer

Here is a video where you can see the details of the MH and the outside screen door.

Can you give the Post # when linking? There are so many pictures it's hard to find the one you are talking about. It would just be easier searching.

The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that investigators in the Haleigh Cummings case have retrieved a piece of yellow rope from the home where Tommy Croslin lived with his family when niece Haleigh Cummings vanished.

A yellow rope has been described as a possible murder weapon, possibly used to tie the five year old girl to cinder blocks and sink her body in the St. John’s River within five miles of the trailer where Haleigh lived with her father and then girlfriend Misty Croslin.

Sources close to the case tell me investigators asked Tommy Croslin’s wife, Lindsay, for permission to search the home she once shared with Croslin’s parents for evidence and she agreed. That’s where the yellow rope was found, sources tell me. Lindsay could not be reached for comment.

In addition to the yellow rope in question, there is more rope. Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla tipped us to rope tied around the screen door at Ronald Cummings Trailer that can be seen in the video below.

Art has a video at the link above of the rope from the Cummings home but it is the same one in the picture above in post #64.
