well one thing for sure is the mitigator cannot use the "Jodi was abused by her mom" lie anymore because last night during the interview, Jodi said her mom has been a saint despite how she (Jodi) treated her.

I didn't think I could detest anyone more than FCA....well, I was wrong. I detest ja even more than I do FCA. I am so sick of reading about HER rights, sealed hearings, migraines, watching her flip people off with no reprimand from the Judge, her perverted sex talking attorney, her other screeching attorney..just sick of the whole dang mess. She is a convicted murderer so I don't give a rat's *advertiser censored* about her rights. She took all of Travis' rights away when she slaughtered him. She then tries to take away all the good of him. Defame him in every way possible. But she did not succeed. Travis is now loved by so many people all over the world. She has put Travis' family and friends through hell over and over again. What gives her the right? Our court system? When the hell does it stop!! Thanks for allowing my rant. Add it to the list of things nobody ever saw happen in court before, much less a DP Case. Some may not like to hear this, but I put a lot a blame on the Judge, aside from the circus like atmosphere In Court. I won't list everything from what was Ruled In and what was Ruled Out. Today all I thought I would have to say was WHY was the judge allowing JA in Dress mode when Rules say Prison Garb, but it turns out the judge made a huge mistake by allowing that Interview, knowing this Trial still had more phases to do. If that interview didn't take place, another thing nobody ever heard of, this wouldn't have happened. I feel for these Jurors. The Judge should have too.

AIRING to ALL, JA's continued trashing of Travis was unforgivable to me. Travis' family has been through more than enough grief, without this particular "award winner" giving her yet another public platform to spew her venom. Can it, Troy.

A. A person who is sentenced to death shall not be executed as long as he is mentally incompetent to be executed.
B. As used in this article, "mentally incompetent to be executed" means that due to a mental disease or defect a person who is sentenced to death is presently unaware that he is to be punished for the crime of murder or that he is unaware that the impending punishment for that crime is death.

Well she definitely doesn't know she is going to be executed .. she thinks she's being granted the ultimate FREEDOM!!!

She's so competent. Good.

She has been convicted of first degree premeditated murder, facing the death penalty. Pending the penalty decision, the State is worrying about whether she DIES by her own hand. So they watch and guard her to make sure she cannot kill herself...

...so that a jury can sentence her to death so the State can kill her.

And if she's "competent," and realizes we're going to kill her, we can proceed to kill her. But if the murderer is nuts (but yet still a murderer of a heinous crime), we can't kill her b/c she's unaware that we're going to kill her as her punishment.


This is not a "pro/against death penalty" comment. It's just an observation about a crazy system.

There was no court scheduled for tomorrow and Medical Examiner was not available to testify on Monday or Tuesday.

They say there is no medical evaluation being done on Jodi.

I'd still like to know why the Alexander family were escorted out of the courthouse today, but Jodi's family was not.

Maybe just to protect them from JVM ? Did you see how the media chased the family like a pack of rabid coyotes yesterday?


So, at the end of the day: the reason for the delay until next Wednesday is very basic - court is dark tomorrow as per the usual schedule, and Dr Horn isn't available until then. Correct?

I'm still catching up - do we yet know the real reason for the delay today?

Murderer ja may think that by fast forwarding the remainder of this trial will somehow give her the Last Word. It won't. The Alexander Family will be able to go on every news station and talk show forever to talk about Travis. She will never have the last word.

I don't know about that. David Berkowitz still has a public forum. I have seen a few interviews with Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Aileen Wuornos, Karla Faye Tucker, Susan Polk. And unfortunately, at least where I live, the killers are asked if they have any last words before they die.

I read a case wish I could find it, but the guy ran the bill up so high not 20mil. that the judge made the prosecutor and the defense settle.

I really can't understand why this people get an open account for their expenses. People that have to pay privately for their defense don't get unlimited funds, they have to have a budget. The judge does not decide what the prisoner does once she leaves the courtroom. Jodi has been under the control and direction of the jail. It is their responsibility to get her to, from and keep an eye on her during court. Certainly not the judge's responsibility. Jodi has attorneys and obviously they either agreed or Jodi made the decision herself. She can't blame anyone for her actions.

Here Jodi is getting another chance to trash Travis and she wants to limit what the family will say because it might impact on her verdict. Now, isn't that the purpose of having an impact statement submitted by the family???? So instead of Jodi telling the family she is sorry for what happened she trashes Travis and basically the family, too, while she was at it.
