Yes and it was also testified to that he coughed on the sink there on the left but I really think that was his carotid arterial spray. It sure looks like spray to me....so I still have a different take on the sequence of events and those are the points JA shakes her head on as well. Like she is saying "you still don't hv it right". JMO

I think the spitting blood into the sink while his murderer can be seen in the mirror stabbing him in the side, back and back of the head, coupled with the stalking him down the hall as he was trying feebly but desperately to get away should be enough for a cruelty finding by the jury. The foot pattern of JA's alone around the place where his throat was slit doesn't show anything other than a premeditated action to completely finish Travis off.

I don't want to second guess them. They found Murder in the 1st...I don't know where the jury members thoughts are beyond that finding.

Sorry, but at that point she was no longer "stalking him". Everything else you wrote makes sense.

Nurmi's objections were very objectionable. I would have loved to hear JM object to every sentence Nurmi uttered: "Objection ... B.S.!"

great post. No one owns this crime and evil but Jodi. This is not her Mothers' fault. Her fathers fault, Her brothers fault, her friends fault..

No one is at fault but jodi.

I met a woman whose son murdered someone. Not the same circumstances but still he did it. hearing her talk about the pain and confusion and yet loving your child, And how you deal with it... We can never know this unless we went through it. She did not lie for Jodi or cover for her. She is mourning no matter what happens and in my opinion should be OFF LIMITS.

I completely agree! Her family should be totally off limits, even when they behave in ways we may not like. Theirs is a painful, unimaginable hell.

All my anger is reserved for CMJA.

Does that pretty much seal the deal for the death penalty? I mean, they wouldn't find it was "extremely cruel" or whatever...and then not give her the DP? Right? What would be the point?

I brought this over from the previous thread - Don't know if it's been answered.......No, if they come back with ‘extreme cruelty and suffering’ they then go into the ‘Mitigation’ phase which will determine whether the Jury will recommend LWOP, LWP or DP. This is where we hear the Victim Impact Statements from Travis’s friends and family as to why she should be given the DP. We will also hear the excuses why Jody should not be given the DP from her side.

Then the jury deliberates and makes their recommendation. Remember, it is only a recommendation, because the Judge can sentence anyway she wants. Most likely she will take the Jury’s recommendation whatever that is. However, if they recommend LWOP, she could still impose the DP. Not likely but it does happen.

My husband asked how the trial was going,I told him about Juan's two minutes of silence, he started fiddling with his phone setting a timer and then asked"are you ready", I thought we were going to just sit for the two minutes but when the clock started he began to do pinches like ant bites all over me, being kind the way he is he didn't do that the whole time but stopped and said "that was only thirty seconds" ....two minutes was a very long time for Travis. God rest his soul.
