Welcome Hunnie and Static Cling! Glad you've come out of lurkdom!

Emerging from lurking to try my hand at this! I think that it will be some version of the dreck we've already heard.

JB: "Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, it is true that my client lied. She lied about ever having a nanny for her child. She made up the "Zanny" name because she was so ashamed of losing her job at Universal and didn't want anyone to know. In truth, my client was caring for her daughter all that time while she was unemployed. Of course, because she was such a good mother and had no childcare, she couldn't look for another job. Then, on that horrible day in June, Caylee was taken forcibly from my client. The kidnappers told Casey that if she said a word to anyone, called the police, or even ACTED differently, that she would never see her daughter again. In fact, her entire family would be killed. So, she carried this horrible burden privately, suffering in silence as she carried on with what looked to others like a "normal life." Once the police and the media got involved, Casey made up the ZFG name and told other lies in the hope that the kidnappers would not follow through on their threats. Sadly, it appears that they did. And brave, noble Casey has kept her silence all this time to protect the rest of her family."

(The camera pans over to Casey, who is softly dabbing tears from those big doe eyes. CA and GA are nodding knowingly)

Casey is subsequently acquitted and Judge Perry awards her with her "Mother of the Year" and "Daughter of the Year" awards. She plays herself in a Lifetime movie of her life and goes on to host a talk show (interviewing other noble people like herself) on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
The end.

Add a little Irish speaking baby and you have a perfect "Disney" movie. jmo

The problem with any "aha" moment is that, beyond JB's ability (or lack thereof) to spin this into something intelligible, I believe that whatever KC told JB was filled with lies.
Yep...I think she told him where the body was and that's how DC came to know...and yep, I think she told him that Caylee died with her. But I am willing to bet that whatever KC told him was twisted to make herself look unlike the monster that she is, cause I don't even think she would tell JB what really happened-That she let anger and spitefullness take hold and she followed through on an evil plan.
Although it is recommended that an attorney not know what his client did, if she told him and he plans on spinning it, he needs to have the whole truth or he can never properly defend her. Anything that he says will surely be contradicted by a witness or an LEO, because there will be a detail that she omits that someone else will enlighten the jury on.
For instance-JB tells the jury it was an accident and KC freaked due to GA/CA. Well, then will come along Ms. Downing on the stand to talk about KC yelling/cursing at her mother...then will come along Lee to say that GA never laid a finger (other than a spanking when they were young) on them. Then RyanP will take the stand and talk about why he believes KC is a "harda$$." Girlffriends that knew that when KC felt "crazy", she turned to her mom. Girlfriends that never heard anything about GA other than he was working all the time/not around a lot (because KC never told girlfriends that GA abused her, only her beaus).
Nothing JB does can work unless he impeaches just about every witness the state has. And it looks to me like the state has loaded their witness list heavy, in the event he tries any angle, they will have at least one person to counter it.
On that note, the less JB says, the fewer arrows the state will have to draw from its massive witness quiver. That might be a good thing for JB to consider.

I have a feeling that JB is probably working on his AH-HA declaration this weekend at the home of the next of kin to the "victim", next of kin to the murderer, home of the next possible murderer/bus victim, and the authors of some of the greatest delusions and deceptions remembered in recent times!
Ya know they'll come up with somethin!!:truce:

CA-George! George! Where are you going? Get outta the car and get back in here!!:maddening:

ah-ha moment....JB might say casey was hanging out at unsavory places, with drugs all around, casey passed out, the baby wandered into another room , where some kids were experiencing making/using chloroform and ingested it. casey being the understanding soul that she is, understood it was an accident and decided to stage a kidnapping to keep everyone else from being charged, and she was scared of cindy so She partied along with her friends to show them she was going to "stay true" and not rat them out.....
Yeah I know far fetched....but all I can think of, that makes casey not the murderer

Trying to correct my spelling....how does one edit?

The State will bring the cadaver dogs inside the courtroom and make a positive hit on ICA, Cindy & George.

Ahhhh ummmm aaahhhh. May we have a sidebar?

I think that the "aha" moment will be somewhat like Piglet...

Remember when Rabbit takes Roo and Piglet gets in Kanga's pouch...

and Piglet jumps out and says AHA!!! just like they had planned...but his aha didn't sound as ah-ha ie....as it had...

And Piglet has to take a bath and take his malt...

I think that is how it will be...

thank you A.A. Milne!!!

Glad we could be here to witness your special "ah-hah" moment. . . . (cute!) I also wanted to thank you Hunnie and Static for using your voice after long lurkdom. We are glad to hear your alternative theories that might have some plausible ability to float (at least it's as good as we have heard so far from JB). A big shout out to all lurkers . . . see both of these posters were able to voice their opinions and still came out relatively unscathed. I promise we don't bite (unless you disobey TOS) and that requires some real nasty language and general bad stuff.

I love hearing new voices and I want to commend those who took the plunge - I know I felt quite a bit of anxiety when I first posted.

Whatever it is, it will be lame, it will fall flat, and it will make us feel second hand embarrassment and awkwardness at its bizarreness and stupidity imo.

Yes and no.

It will be lame, and it will fall flat.

I will not feel second hand embarrassment or awkwardness. Baez hasn't earned that from me.

Personally I think the only "aha" moment will be when people who just can't believe that a young mother could kill her child actually hear the mountain of evidence and complete lack of any other possibility.

What is your "aha" moment prediction? Going by Baez' own words, after we hear his explanation, we will understand completely why Casey acted as she did in those "31 days."

Well? What's your prediction, now that we're getting close to trial??? :rocker:

Two guesses I have:

1 - one night stand sex led to Caylee's conception, Cindy wouldn't allow Casey to get rid (abortion, adoption, or by any means) of her grandchild, so she basically "forced" Casey to have her and keep her. The emotional abuse and control of Cindy over Casey led Casey to never "bond" with Caylee as her own daughter. After Caylee died, Casey was in "shock" and emotionally paralyzed. Not sure.

2- Casey was "raped" by Caylee's father (someone other than GA or LA, who supposedly have abused Casey in the past)...and again, CA "made" Casey keep Caylee (or CA didn't find out in time, and it was past time for abortion, etc.)...and hence, Casey emotionally couldn't bond with Caylee, and in fact, was reminded of that horrible rape everytime she looked at Caylee. Yada yada yada.

Not sure of all the details, but I'm thinking it is somehow going to play with how she became pregnant, and how Cindy was controlling the situation and poor Casey had no say or control regarding Caylee.

Realize, I don't BELIEVE my 2 predictions as what is really transpired, but I think those are good "s t o r i e s" Baez might use to try to explain how poooorrrrr Casey was just at a standstill as to what to do to not let CA know she wasn't a good mom.

DD, I always love your posts! I can see the DT going with either, but #1 makes the most logical sense to me. Mom made me do it, mom made me have Caylee Marie, I never wanted her. She has been a horrible memory since the day she was born (if a rape scenario comes up). I get up everyday and I can't shwallow.

However, doesn't the DT have to come up with this only by putting ICA on the stand? They no longer have their mental experts, so I don't see how they would pull either of these scenarios off. IMO anyway.

Really, I don't see what else the DT has at this point. I think about it constantly (I know, I'm weird) - but I come up with a big fat nothing!

The only thing that comes back over and over is the DT is going to base this case on the lack of direct evidence, and downplay the significance of circumstantial evidence. What else can they do?

MOO

I wonder, and I know this is sheer lunacy, but I wonder if Baez might claim that Caylee is still alive. I know the state would be able to prove otherwise, but that would be a shocking thing for him to say in his opening statements. "My client couldn't have murdered Caylee because Caylee is still alive!" It would definitely shock the courtroom at that moment.

It's either that, or he's going to make some other outrageous claim that will shock the courtroom at that moment though it can be proven otherwise later. Still, it will get people talking, and the jury won't be able to ignore it.

Oooh. Or do something like this. Holy Moly would that be a shock worthy moment. I would hope the SA would have prepared for something like that, though. I thought LE said they were satisfied they knew who the father was or something like that. I wouldn't put it past Baez to try something like that, though. Or maybe point to Jesse? Or some other friend? There's no telling what he will do, maybe even get a person to say they are the nanny?

I definitely think he's going to go for shock in the moment. He doesn't care if it will be disproven later on. He just wants the moment of shock that the jury can't ignore.

BBM'd by me, I feel that it will NOT be an "AHA" moment as much as it will be an "OMG, WTF, No, he didn't" kind of moment. It will be so shocking, I agree, but he will put it out there for the Prosecution to prove wrong. Caylee being alive...due to the LE not wanting to help look for her because they were focusing too highly on KC...could be plausible. He may try to refute and confuse the science of DNA (again, collected by the LE), like OJ's dream team did, and hope that the jury, he agrees to, are a bunch of unschooled people. People who will never understand or get befuddled by the numbers that explain reliability and probability of the DNA reports. I wonder if Barry Scheck, who works now to prove wrongly accused convicted people innocent by DNA evidence, is still available...hope not.

FWIW, I know I will be picking my chin off the floor, in complete utter disbelief, (and then running to WS to join the chatter) as he flings his words to the courtroom walls in hopes that a morsel of doubt sticks somewhere.....maybe in jurors' minds. That is all it would take....That is all he has.

:cupcake:Sweet Caylee, you will have your peace soon, love.

Try as I may....I can not anticipate a true "aha" moment.

IMO the only answers offered, should we ever hear them, would be better catagorized under "HAHA" moments.

HaHa...they are kidding right?

HaHa...nice try.

HaHa...you've got a bridge to sell us?

Nope....I just don't see any "aha" moments on the horizon.

Well We all know how well jb spells

Aha....meant Hahhahaaaa??? jmo

Maybe the Ah Ha moment will be something along the lines of ica wasn't home on the 15th, but then came home later on the 15th, only to leave on the 16th and she didn't know anything was amiss and GA and CA didn't know anything either because they were in and out either working or trying to find a job, ica thought Caylee was with CA and GA, GA and CA thought Caylee was with ica. Naaaaw. That's too long winded even for Baez and not very believable.

Ok, I will play!

Ahahahahah moment 1) Caylee's bio-dad is a politician, a very influential one. She was meeting him and had a relationship with him since she met him and his family at the Kodak photo booth. (the Disney job and other sundry lies was her covering up the infidelity of the politician.)

Perp Anth was tired of lying for HIM and was about to blow the affair sky high and cash in on the media $$$. (ala Rielle Hunter) Perp Anth had the goods to take the WHOLE GOVERNMENT down.

The high ranking politician then told Perp Anth that HE would take Caylee and give Perp Anth squillions and squillions of dollars if she signed a confidentiality document and promised not to sell him (and AMERICA) out. She agreed. Then slowly, Caylee was introduced to her father. That's where she was all those unexplained times when the perp was partying.

Then, the politicians people stopped answering her calls. All sorts of other strange things started to happen, but since Caylee was with her rich father who supplied everything and didnt need to be paid (aka ZANNY) the perp was not toooo concerned.

Then BANG. The car started to smell and the perp got REALLY worried. The *people* told her not to worry, Caylee was just fine, the money would be in her account soon - just leave the car at the Amscott and they would take care of it from there.

But ALAS her secret cell phone *disappeared*. She had NO WAY of contacting Mr Big anymore. But since the car disappeared from the Amscott, well *they* were holding up their end of the bargain so there was no need for panic, right? No need to tell anyone what was going on, Caylee was fine and the MONEY WAS COMING. She could pay back everyone she had borrowed money from (Amy, her grandfather etc etc)and they could all live happily ever after.

But then CA showed up at the door at Tony's... and *they* didnt have the car after all. OH NO! The perp best keep her mouth shut for THE GOOD OF THE AMERICAN WAY! And her family. If the big time politician can kill his own daughter - then the WHOLE ANTHONY FAMILY would be nothing to him!

Ahahahahah moment 2) George did it all and said he would kill CA and Lee if Perp Anth spilled the beans.

Ahahahaha moment 3) Aliens. They did it. And they threatened to take the rest of the A family to their slave planet if the perp spilled the beans. And they told her to party like crazy to throw everyone off the scent.

That's all I got. JB can take his pick next time he's reading here ;)

Please tell me our national security doesn't have anything to do with ICA, Sammiejam. I enjoyed your theory. Maybe Jeff was really . . .
