Went and did the street view for northern lights blvd Looks like a road that needs to be searched. I clicked a ways down it looks like all woods.

Everything close or around ANC is going to make a poor spot to hide something.

The best place would be a 20 min drive south and a pullioff at beluga point or whatever. Splash. Good bye. IMO.

Even Beluga point would be hard, I think. The road is still busy and how would you get a body in deep enough water? IK did live near the coast for most of his life, he could be very familiar with tides.

Doing a google search for the latest, this video pops up. Don't know why it would be google-tagged with Samantha:

Then looking at a google map of CGE, I see there's a Hooters across the street. I didn't know that. Not that it means anything, only interesting.

The bike trail on Northern Lights and the Coastal Trail bordering Earthquake Park are both heavily trafficked, even in tons of snow. It wouldn't be impossible to take a body down there but it would be very difficult without being spotted. There are also tons of dogs around there, it is unpleasant to think about but I don't think it would be a likely place for a body to be.

Sorry, I still don't understand why NL/Earthquake Park, etc. is being looked at.. was it mentioned in one of the articles?

Sure you know but there's a lows and home depot right there too.

Lowes and Home Depot right there by CGE? They would have parking lot cameras. Are they close enough?

I was talking about Northern lights because from the first picture of the raid theres what looks like finger print dust all over the shed door by the knob and above so i was just looking around through the street view and the nw looks like a big wooded area close to his house..

Side note was talking to someone that knows anchorage pretty good and said when you are driving down that road you feel like your in the woods until it opens up by fedx and airport, Like i said i don't know the area

No, I think AK907 was just checking out Google street view and mentioned it might be a place to search.

AK907, Do you know Campbell Creek Trail? Is this near CGE?

Why only remove the shed now? This case is beyond confusing...

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks! :)

As you can tell if you go and look at the talk about the debit card being IK"s and making a false report to make himself look like a victim and not a suspect,

That I confuse people, now its the northern light :banghead:

UPDATE 3/31/12 - The Anchorage Police Department confirms the shed was seized in connection with a homicide or kidnapping investigation.

ANCHORAGE - More than a dozen FBI agents paid a late night visit to Israel Keyes' Turnagain home Friday.

<modsnip>
Around 10 p.m. Friday, FBI agents used shovels and sawhorses to remove a white storage shed from the driveway of Keyes' residence on Spurr Lane, loading the structure onto a flatbed truck with a forklift and leaving with it about an hour later. The truck was followed by several unmarked law enforcement vehicles.

Eric Gonzales, a spokesman for the bureau, refused to comment on the seizure.

This article states: "Department spokesman Lieutenant Dave Parker said detectives had not revealed the details of the search to him, but confirmed the shed had been seized as part of a homicide or kidnapping investigation."

So the LE removal of the shed IS in connection with SK's disappearance, and not just with IK's fraud charges.:waitasec:

OT, but just thought this was kind of interesting.. the Google view of IK's house from August '09 shows his green tool racks on the back of this other truck

Then if you turn the street view around, next door to IK's house is a white Silverado 4x4 in the driveway that looks a lot like his. Maybe he bought his neighbor's truck?

Good eye!
I am trying to see if there are any distinguishable marks or characteristics on the truck to see if they are one and the same.
But buying a neighbor's truck is a possibility, isn't it?
