New charges against WWH
http://fox10tv.com/2014/09/22/wendy-holland-facing-four-new-sex-abuse-charges/
Holland is the aunt of missing Mobile County woman Brittney Wood, who has been missing since May 30, 2012. Baldwin County Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack said last month that he fears Wood is dead.
Relatives of Wood and friends of her family have been arrested in connection with a child sex abuse investigation. Eleven people, including Holland, have been arrested since 2012.
Of the 11 people arrested, four have agreed to plea deals. The cases against the remaining suspects are pending. Arrests have been made in Mobile and Baldwin counties.

Wow.
One of her four charges is rape. According to this, that's technically not a lawful charge against a female, right?
http://www.houseofruthdothan.org/rapelaws.htm
Section 13A-6-62
Rape in the second degree.
A male commits the crime of rape in the second degree if:
Being 16 years old or older, he engages in sexual intercourse with a female less than 16 and more than 12 years old; provided, however, the actor is at least two years older than the female.
He engages in sexual intercourse with a female who is incapable of consent by reason of being mentally defective.
Rape in the second degree is a Class B felony.
(Acts 1977, No. 607, p. 812, 2311; Acts 1979, No. 79-471, p. 862, 1; Acts 1987, No. 87-607, p. 1056, 2.)

According to the above link, it specifically says "male", compared to some of the other charges which state "person". My mind is really exploring this. Well, she had children so she must be female. I'm lost.
(a) A person commits the crime of rape in the second degree if:
(1) Being 16 years old or older, he or she engages in sexual intercourse with a member of the opposite sex less than 16 and more than 12 years old; provided, however, the actor is at least two years older than the member of the opposite sex.
(2) He or she engages in sexual intercourse with a member of the opposite sex who is incapable of consent by reason of being mentally defective.
(b) Rape in the second degree is a Class B felony.
(Acts 1977, No. 607, p. 812, §2311; Acts 1979, No. 79-471, p. 862, §1; Acts 1987, No. 87-607, p. 1056, §2; Act 2000-726, p. 1557, §1.)
I think the confusion is that the linked site is publishing an outdated version of the criminal code. Sections 13A-6-61 and 13A-6-62 were amended in 2000 to provide gender-neutral (while still heteronormative) definitions of first and second degree rape.
I believe the current text of Section 13A-6-62 (Rape in the Second Degree) is as follows:
Source of Alabama Code: ALISON (Alabama Legislative Information Service Online) Database, http://alisondb.legislature.state.al.us/acas/CodeOfAlabama/1975/13A-6-62.htm
Source of info regarding amendment (as I couldn't find Act No. 2000-726 published online): R.J.K. v. State of Alabama (see footnote 1), http://caselaw.findlaw.com/al-court-of-criminal-appeals/1091160.html
